“My wife and i went in today and had lunch. We have been there many times and can’t get enough. As a chef and foodie myself i am always impressed with their offerings. We actually drove 7 hours (from Des Moines Iowa) to eat here. I don’t see what these 1 and 2 star people are talking about. Definitely a must try, support local and Eat local.Vegetarian options: Mushroom tacos, curry vegetables tacos and seasonal vegan burrito is my wife’s favorite and they have falafel tacos ???“

“Classic Grand Haven Spot with good food and speedy service! We started with the Rangoon Appetizer which I'd definitely get again! These are not your typical mass produced Rangoons. They are special. For our dinners we got an Olive Burger and and a Perch Basket like any good West Michiganders. My wife is something of an Olive Burger expert and said it's a perfectly respectable effort and it gets the job done. She loved their ranch dressing. My perch basket was crispy and tasty with a nice light coating on the fish.Solid selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and downtown without being too downtown. This is a good spot for anybody passing through town to get dinner and drinks in a comfortable setting.“

“Stopped in with my wife for some beers after a walk to the beach…best part of my whole day. John the bartender was an amazing guy and the beer… called Firefly…is without a doubt the best suds I’ve ever consumed. Highly recommend this establishment for a refreshing and friendly diversion from this stress-filled world.“

“The wait to get a table was a little long. When we got to our seats it was a great atmosphere and really gave western vibes. The staff was really nice. The bathroom was spotless. When the dinner came the chicken tenders and fries were the best. Take it from me (a 15 year old) they are the best maby in Michigan and the stake was so good. The fries were good too. Also the prime rib was out of this world. Every thing was so good. There is not need to dress up in fansty clothing. the only down part was the chairs were not that comfortable. But other then that, it is definitely one of the best restaurants in Michigan. Take it from me.“

“Fast food, mostly take out, very small dinning area. Really good eggrolls and crab Rangoon. Chicken lo mein was very tasty and large portions. Fried rice was kind of bland but will add some soy sauce to my leftovers. Will definitely be going back.“

“I hadn't been to Odd Side Ales in years, so Nate and I stopped in and had a drink while visiting the area recently. The space is large and great for groups, with plenty of communal seating and a huge bar. They have some games available an we saw people playing cards. They have 50+ taps with all types of beer. They also serve hard slushees, wine, cider, and seltzers. We sat at the bar and had great service. Nate got a flight and I got a mimosa beer that was refreshing and delicious. The flight is always our go-to when visiting a new brewery or one we haven't been to in awhile. Nate liked all the tastes he got and I really enjoyed some of the darker specialty stouts. They don't serve food at Odd Side Ales, but you're welcome to bring food in or you can order directly from several of their local restaurant partners nearby, then they'll deliver right to your table. Odd Side Ales also houses the Side Bar coffee counter that serves lattes, hot chocolate, coffee, and smoothies and shakes. This is a family-friendly spot that seems to have something for everyone! I look forward to visiting whenever I'm in the area.“

“Years ago my family ate here the first week they opened and did not have a great experience, we all assumed it was just a growing pain but I never felt compelled to return. I'm happy to say that I tried this place again tonight and it was nothing like I remembered. The food was incredible and they had a massive selection to pick from. Plenty of no meat options as well which I didn't expect. I'm used to only having 1-2 options to choose from at places like this and was surprised to have so many choices. The wait was long as they were absolutely slammed but I felt like the staff handled it really well and kept everything running smoothly, I was impressed! (TIP: Put your name down online before you head over!) It's a little on the pricey side but if you're going to eat in Grand Haven that's the norm so I can't knock them too much for it. It's not too often I try a restaurant and it goes from a poor experience to an amazing one, so I think they've earned the 5 stars! They'll definitely be on my radar when we're thinking of places to eat going forward.“
“This place looked a bit different than your stereotypical "vineyard" but my friends and I had an awesome experience. The service was great especially for being short staffed (the woman who served my group was sharing that) and she was so kind and hospitable. The ambiance was really warm and welcoming and my group of 5 enjoyed our tastings. $12 for a tasting AND you get to keep your glass! So inexpensive and fun!“
“Hundreds of Hops Stop #16 on our 2024 US hop passport self-guided tour, a weekend in Michigan. I went in expecting the Seinfeld Soup experience, brewery-style based on some reviews. WoW, I couldn't have been more wrong. We were greeted by a gal updating signs, food to the right & beer to the left. She was laughing with us, not at us, which is a great start. We ordered tacos cuz they're tacos & one should have them at every opportunity. Both were solid options with fun twists, a nice addition to our drinks. Once the food order was in, we headed to the drink counter & the gent working was quick to ask our drink preferences/dislikes & make suggestions. I didn't find staff to be off-putting at all & actually found them all to be friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beer and the environment. We'd both come here again.“

“What an unassuming place. From the outside, you would think it might be sketchy or scary inside. Like run down. Instead, you go inside and there is well lit and modern looking bar to an old-timey place. There's a wrap around bar. There's table seating. I've seen regulars and families in there. A juke box. Atm. Pool table. Video game machine. And fun signs on the walls. They have pub fare, good food. The wait staff has been great every time I've gone in. I really enjoyed meeting Amber on my last visit. I think it's a fun, affordable and inviting place to have meal and drinks. Totally casual. No dress code, other than wear clothes and footwear...lol It's almost five stars. But I give it four plus stars. Come check this place out! Cheers, Xiang“

“Delivery drivers are always kind and courteous. They drive through construction during rush hour and are still so polite which is a gift. Tye went out of his way to make sure my order was corrected, even when I said it wasn't necessary.“

“The service and food quality are hard to beat. I have had multiple things off the menu and never been disappointed. My personal favorite is the steak grinder. And guess what you can order a gluten free bun with any of the grinders so if you have a sensitivity that’s an option my husband takes every time and raves how amazing his is as well.“

“Small Cafe with Home-style charm. The waitresses are attentive. Food is delicious and comes out fast. The biscuits and gravy just knock it out of the park. I’ve dined-in twice and they remembered my order. Views of the marina with adequate parking for its size. My new go-to while visiting my relatives in Grand Haven.“

“The establishment was clean, well lit and smelled good. The seating was Intimate and wrapped around the room. Service was friendly and fast. Took 5 minutes to whip up my order. The food was hot. I thought the breading/egg roll on the pickle was thick but still very tasty for $6.00. if you are a fan of pickles this is your place!“

“Great place to go with friends. Wonderful lively atmosphere, great food, plenty of drink offerings. It's always busy but the servers are on the ball. You'll find locals and tourists. They have a reputation to maintain and they work to keep it.“
“I would give it a 5 but I ordered blue cotton candy and the employee yelled out my name with blue coconut order. I told him I ordered blue cotton candy. I should have stood there to watch him make a new one. He then gave me another one. Again it was blue coconut! By then my granddaughters took bites out of it. I was disappointed! And so were they.“

“Had to change my review after tonight's mess. I had made a reservation but on arrival the kid at the host station said they got busy so they gave our table away. Our server was terrible, forgot to put in my order so I sat while the rest of our table ate.She said she'd comp my meal, then replied that a reservation is just that and not a guarantee you'll have a table. Strange concept, why bother to make one then. Or let your patrons make one. Another server apologized for everything, but the damages were already done. Sad, used to be a place we enjoyed to dine at. One of the rare few available that were good on the Lakeshore. Not sure we'll be coming back if this is what can be expected.“

“Yes, The Fortune Cookie has many, many options for gluten free dishes. We had garlic chicken and fried rice noodles with chicken (I forgot the name). Good value for the money. This is more of a basic take out. There are a few tables in a small area to eat in. We really appreciate the gluten free options. We look forward to trying more in the future.Dietary restrictions: Very good with food allergies. Many gluten free options.“

“Walked up and got our name on the list for brunch. They took our number and said they'd text when the table was ready. Estimated 30-minute wait, actual 40. We took the opportunity to look up the menu and reviews while waiting. Once seated, we were able to order immediately. The coffee was brought out in an insulated carafe for wxtra pours, with a side of cream. The gal who helped us also brought 2 forks out so we could share the roll. It had a fabulous crunchy outer, yet tender inside and smothered in a tangy-sweet cream cheese frosting. Next came the mains. Mine could have used some kick, but there was hot sauce available &, I suppose, it's easier to add more heat than it is to take it away. The eggs were perfectly poached & I loved the naked option. Bonus for letting me swap out potatoes for the fruit. After reading how great they were, I did expect some sort of twist, but there isn't one. Yes, they were good, just normal. I stole a few bites of bacon & it was fabulous. I'd guess they bake it to render it and get it crispy without burning it. The hubs said the chorizo hash was great. I wouldn't know cuz he didn't share! All in all, I feel like it was a great value.“
