Literalky kicked out today for looking at a book near our table. The owner Steve, if that's his real name, is cruel and disrespectful of customers. Modifications are not allowed. We used to go every Sunday. No waiting area so we stood by the door to wait for our table and he yelled at us to move. When we calmly shared our frustrations with his behavior he canceled our meals and kicked us out! We were shocked! His behavior is irrational and cruel. He embarrassed us for no good reason. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. He has zero concern or respect for customers. I feel bad for the two good waiters, the woman and the gentleman with red hair. Owner lied directly to our faces as he talked over us to cover up the poor way he treated us mutiple times we came in as regular customers. Don't trust he word he says. Dishonest and the lacking integrity to admit his mistakes. I wish him growth as a human being.

The sweet waffles were delicious. Could have used more syrup without it costing me $4.00 for 2 oz. I love maple syrup but i need more on my waffle so it was not dry. But it was good!!!

I ordered the Horchata French Toast with scrambled eggs and it was delicious. I was a little intimidated by the means of ordering, scanning the menu with my phone and ordering on line but it turned out to be simple. My technology skills are very limited, but after I ordered someone came in and ordered off the menu at the counter, so I also had that option. Service was fast and friendly, food was great, definitely worth checking out.

The atmosphere was as you would expect a popular Tex-Mex breakfast spot to be...Packed and vibrant. Just the kind of place you'd want to be to supercharge your day before heading out the door. I was greeted with a warm smile by Andrew, my server. I told him that it was my first time, and before I could utter anything else I was provided a menu and a cold glass of water. Although I had already done my pre-visit investigation of the menu to figure out what I wanted, Andrew was very helpful in giving me all the specifics I needed to make a decision about which dish I wanted to go with. I'm not much for flare, so I decided to keep things simple and go with the breakfast burrito. I specifically went with the red chorizo. And OH MY GOODNESS was that a great decision! This burrito was so delicious! I'm telling you...eating a cheese-wrapped breakfast burrito with chorizo, egg, cheese, rice, and potato delivers a rich and savory experience that will have your mouth craving more! The combination of spicy chorizo, fluffy scrambled egg, gooey melted cheese, hearty rice, and tender potato creates a medley of flavors and textures. The cheese wrap adds a creamy and slightly tangy element, enhancing each bite. Needless to say, it is so worth the price of admission. I ordered a side of hash to accompany my burrito. The hash itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Perfectly crispy & not too oily. But the star was the spicy ketchup sauce on the side.... Man, when I tell you that it brings flavor, it's literally the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It also has a low level heat that takes regular hashbrowns to a whole other level! So good! All in all, I was really impressed by the whole experience. You won't be disappointed taking a chance on this hidden gem!

The food is pretty good and there was care in making it. There seemed to be a ventilation issue as I left reeking of oil and meat (not awesome, but whatever). My main issue was with the service. The server was quite capable, being the only server for the lunch rush, but they weren't accommodating, didn't care to be, and was curt. I know it's very stressful being the only server for a restaurant full of people, I imagine that's the reason for the attitude, but it was the most memorable part of my first visit and I'm not sure I'll be back.

Easily my favorite brunch spot in town. If you haven’t tried Basalt yet, you’re missing out. Every single item on the menu slaps! I could eat the carnitas tacos every day for the rest of my life. The owner is very kind, you can see this radiating from the staff who work there.
