Such a pleasant place to have some good food you can’t really find elsewhere, and have a good chat over some coffee. The restaurant is a little run down, and it can be overly crowded at busy times but that’s just because of return customers like me.

Hands down delicious! The sweet lemon crepe was perfect, not too sweet. Both the iced vanilla latte and hot lavender latte were incredible. The employees were so kind. Such a cute atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I love local. This was good but expensive. I had the orchard crepe was ok. My wife had the salty ham and cheese, which was better. The menu was fun and the ingredients were ok. It's just I expected more for the cost. The crepe was warm...I thought it would be hotter. The portion size was ok.I walked out with $40 less for two crepes and 2 coffees. Just wanted to be impressed and I wasn't.

Yummy food with gluten free options, just be sure to mention you need gluten batter specifically if that's the case. Delicious drinks and friendly staff! We put our name on the waitlist and wandered the neighborhood, a wonderful morning all together.

Decided to try this place on Valentine's Day with my gf. I wanted to take her someplace special and this was a very special place and we will be back.

Terrible service. We arrived at 2:35pm only for the worker to tell us she closed the "kitchen" 5 minutes ago. The restaurant closes at 3:00pm, she wouldn't serve us because we didn't get there a half hour before they close. It was very disappointing to see how little this restaurant's employees cares about customer service. I don't even know how the food tastes because they wouldn't let me buy anything.

Horrible service! The food and drinks are really good but the service makes me never want to come back. They quite literally kicked us out of the restaurant. We had a group of 8 and we understood we would have to wait for a table but they literally told us we couldn’t eat in there. All the workers had attitude problems and none of us were even being rude to them.

My husband and I were excited to experience the crepes at Brown Butter. We actually traveled from Greenville, a 45 minute drive. We arrived 45 mins before closing and they said they weren't seating anyone any longer. They had an empty table but told us it was being held. Another couple before us were also told the same thing. We highly doubt the table was being held for anyone. They just didn't want anymore customers. I've never experienced this type of service in a restaurant. Thankful the Early Bird was around the corner. #earlybird

Brown Butter has a delicious variety of sweet or savory crepes. We shared one of each with coffee. The crepe batter is fresh and tasty, not rubbery. It's a small venue so you may need to wait when busy. Outside seating in warm weather.Parking: If you can walk a block there is free neighborhood street parking. Paid parking closer and out front.

I needed to get something festive before the new year so I went back to my favorite breakfast spot brownbytter. In my opinion, they've got the best waffles and crepes by far in Grand Rapids. If you do decide to go I'd recommend visiting during off-hours as the inside is very small and can get cramped. The December monthly special is a hot coco waffle - it's topped with chocolate chips, house-made chocolate syrup, and crushed peppermint candies. Props to them for this creation, it looks absolutely beautiful. Even though this thing was absolutely covered in sugar, it had a really deep, rich chocolate flavor from all the topping which paired perfect with the butterscotchy flavor of the waffle. They also have this super cute hot chocolate menu! You can pick a premade drink flavor or make your own - I went with one of the their coconut white hot chocolates. It was so creamy it reminded me of a cappuccino. Great white chocolate and vanilla flavor came through (no coconut, I'm pretty sure they gave me the wrong drink lol). Shoutout to brown butter for having the most photogenic food out there. I hope everyone stays safe and enjoys the new year. Happy holidays!!
