Had dinner here tonight and everything was wonderful! Started with the yummy glitter cocktail ✨ and then had the delicious quesadillas and goat cheese bruschetta as apps!! Honestly this was more than enough food but we went ahead and ordered an entree! I had the Mediterranean salad with chicken and my friend had the bacon burger with the most delicious fries I’ve ever had! The service was impeccable! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

It was dim in the restaurant but the prices, food, and quality of service were excellent.

Would not recommend. We were the only people there and no one greeted us for 15 minutes. Ordered bruschetta and hummus- 30 minutes later they bring them out but they used white bread toast as a replacement for the “artisan” naan and baguette bread because they ran out of them. Ended up just being greasy toast. They never consulted us on the change in order to choose something else and offered no discount or anything. Sat there for another 45 minutes before they returned and we could get our bill.

Service was top notch and the beverages were a delight, fitting for a hotel.

Our fun stay at the City Flats Hotel was tainted by the horrible food we ordered for room service. Both dishes were barely warm to out right cold. The margarita flatbread looked and tasted like a Lunchable.

We came here with plans to eat before heading to a concert at the van andel. Only two people were working and they stayed behind the bar chatting the majority of our time there. We ordered an appetizer (baked feta, which was not good.) and waited for 45 minutes. We never received our food before it was time for us to leave and go to the concert. Left hungry and unhappy. The two young men who were working had no idea what they were doing. I rarely write bad reviews but we would never go back here. Ruined part of our special night out with our daughter!

There for a wedding and it was beautiful!

I haven’t stayed here since they opened so this recommendation is concerning the food, beverage, and small restaurant. I was in there on the very first day they opened years ago and became a reoccurring fan after eating lunch that first trip. This is the first time back since pre shutdown and I was very impressed…again. Service was outstanding and the food great too. I had the fries and a salad but you can see from the picture the presentation was very good, portion size huge and quality what I expected. It is a smaller entertaining or quiet romantic “European” feel setting depending on the day of the week you go. I will be back. PS - Thank you for purchasing new silverware ? and PLEASE put your awesome burgers back on the menu.

I've only been to CitySen Lounge a handful of times but I've had a good experience each time. The most recent visit was with my boyfriend on New Year's Eve prior to the craziness of downtown (around 4:30-5 pm). We got a seat at the bar before it started filling up with people. The space isn't very large and I don't know how they handle serving at the tables as I think it's all just bar service. They have a pretty good happy hour that goes til 7 pm which is nice. We ordered a couple drinks and some snacks: the firecracker cauliflower lettuce wraps and the buffalo chicken mac and cheese egg rolls. Our drinks were quick and then the two bartenders got slammed! Our food did take a little bit but not too long. The lettuce wraps came with lettuce, shredded carrot, sliced cucumber, crushed peanuts, cauliflower in a sweet and spicy sauce, and a dark sauce we couldn't identify (I thought it was hoisin but I don't think that's right). All the veggies seemed fresh and crisp and the cauliflower mixture was really good. I'm pretty sure it's just the bottled chili sauce you find at the grocery store but it hit the spot. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese egg rolls were SO good! They were deep fried but not greasy and had just the right amount of mac and cheese and chicken inside. I spooned some of the leftover chili sauce on them which was really tasty. I would absolutely get those egg rolls again. I heard the bartender recommend them to other people and I would agree! Our bartenders were really polite and friendly even though they were very busy and clearly a bit swamped. I have been there other times and it's been completely empty. I would recommend this place for a happy hour or lunch as they have a good $6 lunch deal.

Very nice lunch. My friend and I both had soup and sandwich. It was more than enough. My chicken salad pita was very good. A nice stop after visiting the museum.

This hotel has always been my absolute favorite hotel I have stayed in when visiting Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, I am very sad that I will not be staying here nor recommending it to anyone ever again. Saturday night, a friend and I drove two hours to see Luke Combs in concert at Van Andel Arena. When we arrived at 4:30pm to check in with City Flats Hotel (that I was already charged for) they let me know that there was a mistake in my reservation and that they are all booked and there is nothing that they can do for us. They did not try to find another hotel for us to stay in or help us in any way but only to tell us we were out of luck. My friend and I ended up finding a hotel 15 minutes outside downtown where the concert was and paid more for our hotel. We also paid over $100 in Uber fees due to the concert. I tried to call Management today to see if there was anything they could do for us for the way we were treated on Saturday and our inconvenience. They told us NO. I am extremely disappointed. :(
