El Torito Asador is an okay restaurant. When it comes to the food it's an average experience when compared to other authentic Mexican restaurant experiences. For starters the Pepsi is flatter than the road, and chips and salsa aren't a given, they've gotta be ordered. During my dine-in I had 3 tacos and double rice. The tacos were only okay, nothing to write home about. Food is served on a plastic plate with plastic silverware, or in some cases a basket. You will leave the restaurant full and not too dissatisfied. So, if you're interested in an average experience, El Torito Asador is the stop for you.

My second time here and it’s by far the best Mexican food I have found in the Grand Rapids area!
Their nachos are the best around. Tortilla chips that can handle alot of toppings without breaking are what makes it for me. The tres leches cake is also amazing!

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon, to an empty with a nice family sitting at a table. A polite young man quickly took my order with a smile on his face. The kitchen and server instantly had my delicious asada tacos, with rice and beans, out to me. Great authentic restaurant with a cozy family vibe, quick. And friendly service, and delicious homemade mexican food!Kid-friendliness: Children playing quietly and respectfully.
There is no variety of meats for tacosAnd the roast is hard

The waitress had such a bad attitude we just left instead of eating. We were the ONLY ones there. You’d think they’d be happy to serve customers with no business when we came in- but we were made to feel like we were bothering them by showing up. To eat. At their place where people are suppose to eat.
