My family and I ate at Leo's Coney Island last night. I got a turkey melt. Was not pleased with it. Bread came toasted and cheese 1/2 melted BUT the meat was FRESH OUT OF THE REFRIGERATOR COLD COLD COLD on warm bread. Thought turkey MELT, meant WARM at least. Had to ask waitress to microwave it just so I could eat it. Wasn't even busy. Like 3 other people/families in there. So WHY the COLD meat on warm sandwich? Odd!

PREVIOUS POSTThis is not the first time we have been in here and the kitchen make a chow all in Afghanistan look like high dinning. This is the last time we will be eating there. Enough is enough. The Leo's family needs to step in and take back the two Grand Rapids locations and the Lansing location this fool has before he ruins the families good name in the Metro Detroit area.UPDATED POST 3/22/2024So we gave the location another try for dinner today and it was a sad, sad situation. I ordered a New York and a West Side Coney, my husband ordered two New Yolks' His came with cheese melted all over them, which was wrong and he did not get the fries. One thing I hate is when one person has a problem and the other person's food arrives. It is just awkward to sit there and eat in front of someone who is still waiting for food.He finally got his and the fries were cold and greasy. The hot dogs were warm not hot. I took one bit out of my West Side and sent it back and had them take it off the check, the chili was stone cold on the hot dog and it was just warm. I had had a problem a year ago getting sick on a hot dog with their chili on it and was not going to take the chance.Health department needs to step in here and do a good inspection and check their food handling and temp setting. This place used to be a great place to go each now it is a sad sad shadow of what it used to be. The family should revoke the license for this owner and either take the place back or close it down, this owner does not care about the Leo's name and reputation and is just brining them down.

I enjoy coming here for my Friday breakfast. The food is very well priced and there is a special deal for people who get there early. I also appreciate the service at this location. The waitresses are wonderful and the coffee never ceases to flow! 5/5.

Food was great and was delivered very quickly by our friendly waitress! There were three of us in our party, and we were super stuffed!Side note:The water tasted very strange... Like pool or hotel bleached water. I definitely recommend management to look into the filtration system.

Excellent omelet, my daughter liked her chicken fingers, hubby even though they still put green peppers on his gyro when he didn't ask for it still ate all of his gyro. The only thing I would suggest is crisp both sides of hashbrowns, the ones we got were only browned on one side, and it was cold in the restaurant maybe turn heat up?

Very clean restaurant. I love that they serve breakfast all day. I ordered the country skillet. It comes loaded with potatoes, lots of sausage, cheese, gravy, and eggs on top. It was made perfectly to my liking. The menu is vast yet made quickly and consistent every time.

We have been here a few times now for breakfast. Our service has always been excellent. We've had great waitresses and friendly service. Upon entering we were greeted kindly and the food prices are average for today's economy .

We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid. We heat our home at 68 degrees and are comfortable at that temp. We have tried mutliptle visits to Leo's Coney Island this winter...and each time the dining room has always been uncomfortablly chilly. When we pay to go out to eat, dining with our winter coats on and still being cold is not a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. We gave it another try last night visiting around 5:30pm (hoping the furnace was turned up). The dining area was extremely C-O-L-D! This could be why there were not many customers there? We asked the waitress if the heat could be turned up, and she replied, "No, the only person allowed to adjust the temperature is the owner, and he is not here". NOTE to Owner: Saving money by turning down the heat in the cold of winter does not provide a pleasant dining experience for your customers and certainly cannot be good for your business! So...we'll see you in the summer?.... ~ Chuck and Denise Antonopulos
