The website boast “a range of options for our gluten-free and vegan friends.” There were zero GF options. Super disappointing, considering I came here specifically because of this misleading information.Dietary restrictions: No Gluten-Free options.

I have been to this place a few times in the past, probably eight years ago and earlier. I loved their sweets then. I decided to visit again today with a friend. I showed her the main picture of the cafe on Google maps to lure her with me. We were quite disappointed when we got to the place. The picture was nowhere close to what they offered now. It would not have mattered if they had those desserts anyways. There was no seating available inside since most tables were 4-person tables occupied by one person each. It looks as if they don't seem to want more customers. They can accommodate more people by converting some of their large tables to one or two-person tables.

Cute spot. Seemed very busy in there. I ordered a hot vanilla latte with oatmilk which was 7$( they charge extra for oat milk and vanilla (they make their vanilla in house)) and a cappuccino total was 11.50$. They tasted good. Also be sure to definitely check out Nantucket bread company next door

Went there for first time this morning and I ordered a cup of coffee with vanilla and cream. It was the absolute worst cup of coffee I've ever had. The barista was wonderful and the cafe was cute, but this is bottom of the barrel coffee.

This is my favorite coffee place in GR and has been for a decade. Even though I moved out of GR, I still go out of my way to grab a pour over here and stop at Martha's Vineyard or the bakery. The staff here are always kind and pleasant and they make the best coffee in town. The olive oil cake is also amazing. Can't speak highly enough of this place and the folks who run it!

Tried for first time. Authentically good coffee. Tried the cortado. And the cinnamon coffee cake muffin. Really good. Decent and calm music to add to the atmosphere. Parking available on the side of the building and on the street.

I recently visited Lyon Street Cafe over the Christmas break, and it exceeded my expectations! The cafe boasts a charming and cozy ambiance, complemented by ample seating and beautiful natural lighting from the big window. My go-to mocha was a delightful treat – hot, chocolaty, and utterly delicious. The friendly barista added to the positive experience. What sets Lyon Street Cafe apart is the unique outdoor huts available for free hourly rentals. Purchasing any item from the cafe grants you access to these cozy huts, each equipped with its own heater. Hanging out with my friends in one of these adorable huts was an absolute joy!I highly recommend Lyon Street Cafe for its warm atmosphere, great coffee, and the extra charm of those charming huts. A must-visit spot for coffee lovers! ☕?

Lyon Street has, perhaps, the best espresso I've tasted. It's an Ethiopian with pronounced berry notes. Whenever I'm in Grand Rapids, I'll be sure to stop in.

So I've been in this COFFEE shop a few times and Ive never received good service if you are the owner of this place remind your staff that its a COFFEE shop they depend on customers. If you are going to make customers wait while you empty out a bus tub of dirty dishes, at the very least WASH your HANDS after. The selections of beverages are abysmal, the coffee itself is definitely worth the money, but you don't have a choice in sizes. The shop itself is okay, it's definitely not designed for single people to hang out and drink coffee while studying, for long periods of time. Nor is it designed with single customer's in mind, get more 2 tops and less bench sitting for 4. Over all I wouldn't not recommend this place if you want to stop and get a quick cup of good coffee. PRO TIP order you beverage (s) then go to Nantucket next door get your pastries or Martha's hit the deli and by the time you get back your coffee may be ready but then again it may not be..

This is such a wonderful coffee shop. They have baked goods from next door; there is a fantastic bakery. I got a latte with caramel added. Seriously delicious. So much better coffee than most places. It can be a bit crowded because, clearly a local favorite.
