The chef is a true master of his art. The whole staff was great. Very welcoming sushi bar with an excellent selection of various Japanese foods. It was a pleasure to dine here. The chef was extra considerate of my kids' experience, and I noticed and appreciated that.Overall one of the finer sushi restaurants I have been to in the United States.Bravo Mikado Sushi.Arigato!

We were so hungry and the food looked so good we forgot to grab pics of everything, but I have no complaints! The rolls we got are: Crunch, Spider, and Dragon from left to right. Then we split the Tonkatsu Ramen. Not pictured, we got a seaweed salad, miso soup, and fried oysters. The service was prompt and friendly. Will absolutely go again.

AI smart

The server of Asian descent exhibited poor customer service, demonstrating rudeness towards Asian patrons and automatically applying a 20% tip to the bill. Her behavior was disrespectful and unwelcoming to Asian customers. I do not intend to revisit this establishment and will share my experience with friends and clients.P/s: When I went there with my white husband she gave very good service before LOl but it’s opposite experience when I went alone? Asian are not welcoming asian…it’s such a pain!

This is the best simple sushi in town. If you are in to big showy plates, this isn't it. If you want the best tasting, carefully prepared sushi, come here. The Nabeyaki Udon soup is last meal good.

Very kind service. Was willing to answer all my questions about different kinds of foods and names. I would recommend for people wanting to explore but are too intimidated to try new foods. Pretty sure chef is a Itamae. Beautiful

Hey Friends-- Mikado is my regular, authentic go-to sushi place in GR area. Mikado is as close to a neighborhood sushi place you might find in Shibuya (hip neighborhood in Tokyo). Clean, somewhat spartan by American standards in terms of decor, all business is focused on the sushi. Mikado is fresh, clean with some creativity thrown in to satisfy what we in the US have come to expect as "sushi" which would never exist in japan or most of Asia, unless its a place outside of japan catering to western tourists so like the made up rolls with tons of random ingredients thrown together toward certain "themes" of each roll. Mikado's sushi lunch is still a good deal and they also do bento boxes which are tasty. I love their unagi, LOVE their salmon skin which a lot of places don't have...I usually have them do it in a hand roll for me with some spicy mayo. If its date night and your date appreciates quality sushi, Mikado is your best choice---if you're looking for a hibachi-style show and pageantry, Mikado will be too traditional for you. Yummy sushi and I think the oldest sushi restaurant in town and it shows.

This place had great sushi and they were very friendly. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I asked if there was soy sauce and she told me definitely. I asked because I was staying at a nearby hotel. No soy sauce . It's a good thing I love sushi and the flavor in the roll was great. The sashimi is a little lacking without soy sauce and now I remember that there was no wasabi...just ginger. They seemed short staffed so I will give them another chance.
