We have been eating at Russ's restaurants since 1973. The atmosphere, service, and delicious homemade food make us repeat customers. We often gather with a group of friends, but are just as comfortable eating alone.Vegetarian options: I order all side dishes because they have several that are vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and the booths are kid friendly. They also have ample high chairs and space to use them.
Much better experience than the Plainfield one. Great food and service?Kid-friendliness: It's big enough that kids aren't over the booth in my face lol they have crayons.

Family ate there yesterday. Ordered the usual lunch, cheeseburger (which ended up getting me sick), macaroni for the kids (which they said looked gross), and pickle chips (which looked undercooked). We also had fries but those were decent. Our waitress also seemed to be in a terrible mood as she wasn't very nice at first. Russ used to be one of those places that felt familiar. Now, it barely does if I'm being honest. At least some of the workers looked happy, which is why atmosphere got 4 stars. Sadly though, I don't know I'd recommend this location to anyone else. There's definitely alot to be desired.

Cool fried chicken, potato would not melt butter. Salad delivered after dinner served. Hot tea not hot. No tea bag no flavor.Used to be very good, now not so much. Think twice before going there again.
