The food is the top five Italian Restaurants in Grand Rapids.. I believe everything is homemade. This restaurant has all the classics, and then some (they even put a good solid effort into making their salads). The service was outstanding, and the portions were very, very, generous. They even have their own free parking lot (which is extremely rare for downtown Grand Rapids). Kids menu too. The atmosphere could be a little more fun, other than that, I don't know how they could improve (some review said GFS food; no way). I'm going back!Parking: Free parking. Had high hopes due to positive reviews. The carry out 12” meat lovers pizza I picked up was borderline inedible and downright disgusting. Wet / uncooked center with raw chewy dough, smelled freezer burned / funny while driving home in my car, tasted like old wet thawed out grossness. Breadsticks were OK, nothing special, but certainly edible. We ended up eating leftovers with the breadsticks & chucked the pizza into the trash. With fresh ingredients and competent cooking, I could see this pizza being decent, but what I got should’ve never been let out of their kitchen. Won’t be back & wont miss it.
