Went here for brunch before show at DeVos. I will say it was 12 noon when I arrived. However when you are doing brunch until 2, I expected more. The buffet was very lacking in choices and there was not much left except bacon, sausage and pastries. The hot food I got was cold, no salad choice on the buffet, very little fruit out. For $29.00 per person, there should have been fresher food and more choices. Guess if you get there at 8:00 a.m. it will be different.Why bother to serve brunch until 2:00 if it's not going to be full and fresh?Just stop at 11:00 and start offering lunch from the Monday through Friday lunch menu.

Last morning we went for breakfast. Even tho we had a reservation, we were told that they had another reservation coming in an hr and a half later if we could be out by then. Nothing like feeling like we were intruding and not particularly welcome. Thanks for the memories. Priceless

In town for opening night of Les Mis as the last part of our honeymoon trip. Decided to eat in the hotel restaurant (something I don't normally do because they are often overpriced for not much reward) and was exceptionally impressed. My wife had the whitefish and I had the roasted chicken, both fantastic. We had the flatbread as an appetizer along with ceasar salads and after trying both we already knew we were getting more than our money's worth. Our waitress knew it was our honeymoon and took care of our deserts, and the mint in the chocolate was incredibly strong (a good thing!).Definitely would eat here again if we are in town, especially for another show (Les Mis was also fantastic, it was a great honeymoon!)

What an amazing experience! I haven't been that happy with a dining experience in ages. Our server Brandon-he was perfect. Absolutely went above and beyond. The Kitchen was also so thoughtful, and our host was helpful! Thanks for a great night for my family.

Great place to eat, especially for Brunch. But even at dinner, never another under par. If you're there for brunch, and not concerned with calorie/c have Elvis make you French style scrambled eggs.

I celebrate my birthday here with a table of 10! They made my birthday extra special. They had happy birthday on the menu. The sweet dessert was so good. The service from Jaslyn was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we was enjoying our time and food!

This used to be a very nice restaurant and we were looking forward to our dinner last night. How it has changed... Service was poor, usually too slow (after our waiter brought the wine list we didn't see him again for 15 minutes) but at times too fast (appetizer arriving about the same time as the salad). Then the time between starters and dinner took forever. The food sounds good on the menu but was disappointing. The escargot appetizer was so bad we stopped after the first couple of bites (small, chewy, and with zero flavor, and the accompanying "toasted baguette" was just toasted strips of white bread). My wife's scallops (entree) were so salty they made her mouth burn. The steak au poivre was cooked nicely but not even a hint of peppercorns in the sauce, basically just a steak. They were nice about taking a couple of things off our bill, but we would not go back. There are many good restaurants in Grand Rapids and sadly this is no longer one of them.
First time at this restaurant. Was staying at the hotel while visiting family. We ordered a wide variety of appetizers and they were all excellent! The entre' of Gnocchi was amazing! Brandon was a great waiter and was very knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to come back.

Everything was special at Margaux. The food was delicious and and the service was amazing. We were staying at the hotel, still made a reservation, had a great dinner and experience.
What a special Valentines Dinner we had at Margaux! It was an experience we will remember from the complimentary champagne at the beginning and truffles at the end and every presentation and taste in between! Our server was fabulous and we truly are still talking about our time there.

It was like they converted a hotel lobby into a restaurant. They seated us near the very entrance, and every waiter, guest, and breeze went right by us. I could have high fived the couple next to us, they were so close. The whitefish I ordered fishy and unpalatable. I have no idea how it has 4.5 stars google reviews. I wish I would have done more research before booking.
