I just happened to stumble upon this shop when I was looking for a good sandwich/sub downtown. The atmosphere is small and cozy, the service is fast, employees are super friendly. Even while I was sitting down eating, some regulars came in and they chatted with the employees like they were old friends. The prices are hard to beat too, and the food was extremely good because of the fresh ingredients. I highly recommend them if you want a quick and affordable meal!

Great place for a sub made with the freshest ingredients you can find. The veggies always crunch, the bread is always soft and perfectly chewy! The owners are great people, too. My only complaint is they’re too humble to ask for a tip on my card, so bring cash if you want to tip!

This is still one of the best places to grab a quick lunch downtown. Lunch deals are unbeatable, service is VERY friendly and fast.Kid-friendliness: This is an amazing spot for picky eaters who might not like some of the more 'exotic' fare downtown. Service is friendly and very fast. The food is great and isn't at all expensive if you're buying for a larger number of kids/adults.

If you're downtown around lunch time on a weekday and want something quick and cheap, Ski's Sub Shop has you covered. This small sandwich place has been open for years and is a local favorite for those who work downtown. I recently got to try Ski's Sub Shop for the first time ever as we had an errand in the area. They have a $9 lunch special that includes a sub of the day, chips, and a drink. The sub of the day rotates between a few different options. Nate and I decided to get a salami, bologna, ham, and cheese sub, as well as the Ski's deluxe sub, which is basically all the toppings they have with all the meats. Choose your sub bread - either white or whole wheat, then add toppings and cheese. Subs range from $7-$8.50. It's like a local Jimmy John's, and I loved it. The toppings were all fresh and the bread was soft and held up well. I'd definitely come back next time I'm downtown!

Owners Pete and Kelly are incredibly accommodating and attentive with their culinary creations.And the prices are reasonable and not out of line; especially when there are chains & franchises charging nearly double for less than fresh and tasty subs.Theirs are the best hero sandwiches I've ever eaten since moving from the East Coast and that's saying a great deal. Always a friendly greeting and a great sandwich. One of the places I would go to every day if I could. It's locally owned and operated, and they have a fantastic deal, and you'll be satisfied with a good meal that you'll want to have again and again.
