My hot dog and egg rolls were cold. My wife liked her sandwich, though. I was really looking to my hot dog ? because I haven't had a good Chicago Style one in a while. Really pricey don't know if I'll go back. Maybe I'll try a different menu item.

This place is a gem, the atmosphere has a contemporary vibe the customer service was wonderful and the food delicious I highly recommend the Italian beef gyro & the Chicago style hot dog.

Decent Chicago style Italian beef sandwich and sausage. There aren't many places that offer this type of sandwich other than Portillo's. It's a nice addition to this part of town where there is a dearth of good restaurants. There are some flaws from my first visit here. It takes a long time to get a simple order of a sandwich and fries. I waited over 30 minutes. Call ahead. The restaurant is takeout only. There is a small waiting area with two stools and no tables. The person who takes orders should speak louder and communicate more effectively. It's hard to hear her. There is a credit card charge. I'm glad I asked first and paid cash. There are no signs indicating there is an extra fee for using a credit card. I didn't ask what the fee was, but be aware that there is one. Lastly, the food is pricey. A sandwich is $15. If you add sausage, it's $4 more. That's $19 for a sandwich that sells for less than $10 at Portillo's. Condiments are $2. A side of fries is $5.

Loved the food, great customer service (both on phone and on-site. This is a great addition to our Detroit Metro Casual " Foodie" Experience! Very generous portions ~ the pricing definitely reflects the quality/portions. You might even have some leftovers!

Max’s Italian Beef is the real deal! First thing i noticed was how clean the place was. Spotless! Then we looked at the menu and there were lots of options and specials. The ladies working were so friendly and fun. This is a take-out only spot, there are no tables to sit down. We got the classic italian beef sandwich with peppers and au jus on the side… the meat was to die for! Seasoned perfectly and not dry at all. We will be back for more!!
As a Chicago native I have to give them 5 stars!!!!! The food is Awesome reminds me of being home. I also love the fact that I can still have my favorite sandwich with Turkey!!!!

This was my first time in to this newly opened carryout shop. We had some confusion on my order that was instantly corrected. Unfortunately due to cold weather, I did not have my sandwich dunked in au jus, which is my preferred way to eat it. Got the au jus on the side and dunked at home. The sandwich was great, even without any au jus. Will be back. Glad to see this business open!Parking: Many open spots on street. Easy in and out.

First off, let me start by saying that I walked in to ask about a menu and the lady behind the counter was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She was very friendly and kind. I ordered our food and was informative about everything. I let her know that I worked a few doors down and she offered to call me when it was done. I got the call and went right over. I walked in and she greeted me by name. Got my food and the smells walking back had my stomach screaming as it smelled so good. Let me tell you, the first bite had me in heaven. The crunch of the peppers, the heat of the spice the flavor of the Au Jus just melted together in that bite. To say I was happy is an understatement. I would definitely recommend and will be going back to try more items from their menu.
