Went there on Eid. The food was good but the restaurant experience was a joke. The family “private” room was not private and you had to share it with other families and all they had was this pathetic wooden cover to separate families. Kids jumping on tables and screaming, and there was no space in those private room. The tables were all crammed together and you couldn’t get to your seat if you sat in the far end. If you wanted to go to your seat other people had to get up from their seat to let you in. Would never come here on Eid again. This restaurant is only good to go when it’s empty.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow, and the staff was rude and unprofessional (especially I saw a very lack of respect towards their own female workers). The food was overpriced and tasted bland. The restaurant was dirty and poorly maintained, which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. A cockroach fell in my table while the server was taking my order. To make matters worse, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The servers seemed disinterested and inattentive, making the dining experience a complete letdown. They were yelling at their own female employees in front of me and being so disrespectful. Many of the male staffs were very disgusting too and they would name call and fat shame the women. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. Save your money and go somewhere else where you'll be treated with respect and served quality food.

This food is SO GOOD. I highly recommend a platter/tray if you have a few people to feed. It's a very generous amount of food for a great price. Shawarma are also wonderful. Plenty of parking, and the staff is very nice.

I would say that the positive reviews are justified at Remas. I had the Seltah w/Vegetables with the Yemeni bread and the sauces. While the sauces were not much to write home about, I will have to say that the Seltah had a lot of really good flavor, was healthy, and delicious. The Yemeni bread was an excellent sidekick. The checkout was a bit confusing at first, but I now remember to go up to the desk and eventually checkout there.

They were out of Tea, out of Yogurt.I ordered hummus with meat. Which was just plain hummus, and little bit of meat in the middle. And they charge extra for bread. Rice was tasteless, and lamb soup, which is (without lamb) just a broth, was spicy, and can't eat it.The reviews are misleading for this place. Very disappointed, First and last time coming here.

This place is so good it's hard to explain in words. I was in Michigan visiting family, and we made the trek to Hamtramck to go to Remas. I hadn't had Yemeni food before, but being from the SF Bay Area I had assumed that the middle eastern food I've had back home would be comparable. I was very wrong - I didn't know what I was missing until I came here, and now I crave Yemeni food. The restaurant itself is pretty big and was packed with families and friends eating dinner. We ordered a bunch of food including some chicken, hummus, a salad, and bread. Everything was so fresh and delicious, but the thing I was not prepared for is this garlic sauce. I think it's just whipped raw garlic or something to that effect. It's definitely not for the faint of heart if you're not a fan of garlic, but I am and I honestly could have eaten it straight. We demolished a relatively large plate of it and I would have asked for more, but the portions of the entrees we got were so big we couldn't eat anymore. Also there's a dispenser of hot chai by the register and you shouldn't bypass it. I love chai and theirs is great with or without milk in it. Next time I'm in Michigan I'll definitely be back, potentially more than once just to get that garlic sauce.
