Superior Lakes Mead, Wine, and Cider. Tasting & Tap Room Winery • $$
36285 Jefferson Ave, Harrison

“My mom and I searched for a winery near us and we really lucked up when Superior Lake popped up. The manager was so personable and friendly. He gave great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about all the wines. He prepared a delicious charcuterie board, and talked with us the entire time. This was a fabulous experience. I strongly recommend stopping by.“

Filipo Marc Winery Winery • $$
39085 Garfield Rd, Clinton

“I highly recommend checking this local winery out. If you are looking for something fun to do, try one of their wine tastings. For $20, you get to try 15 wines plus learn some cool trivia about wine and hear some good stories. Gerard is an entertaining host! There are a ton of different wines for every taste and they are all sulfate free. Plus there are lots of cute wine themed gifts. This place is a gem!“

Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room Wine Bar • $$
45645 Hayes Rd, Shelby

“In town for a long weekend and met some friends for an early evening, pre-dinner activity. We really enjoyed this Michigan-only wine tasting room experience! The establishment creates a nice hybrid space giving the ambiance of a retail store and a tasting experience. We were the only party in attendance for most of the time. Jen, the sole employee at the time, was helpful, attentive and personable. (Note: we arrived around 4 on a Thursday, so we didn't expect it to be busy.) There was a really broad range of available wines of many different varieties. Being from another state, I was impressed to find that Michigan had so many styles to offer, even Cabs and Pinot Noir most often associated with lower latitudes. We went with the flight options giving us 3, 3oz pours for the price of a nice, full glass of wine. At the time, our table really enjoyed the oaked Chardonnay and a Malbec. We took advantage of the $5 coupon that comes with the flight by purchasing a few bottles when we left. Snack options were available. We enjoyed a baguette with some goat cream cheese. Another item was our first choice, but they were out. We also enjoyed the cashews. If you are looking for a full meal, lunch or dinner, you can order in from DoorDash -- the sky is the limit!Overall, enjoyable experience to share with friends and loved one! Overall rating - 3.75. (Note: it's hard for me to go 4 or higher just because this is missing the winery "feel." That has nothing to do with this place, but more my preference.)“
