Stopped by at 3pm on a Wednesday. Though this restaurant has a rich history along with a great reputation, it appears that it is now closed. I have suggested the appropriate edit on Google Maps. Though the decor here was obviously dated, I have always enjoyed the food and service. It's sad to see that it is now closed...at least temporarily.

Since the original owners left this place is trash. The food has gone down in quality vastly. Read all the reviews for the past 6 months and you'll see they are cutting corners at the expense of taste.I got their flavorless prime rib and felt robbed of $32.00. The cooks need to learn what medium well is. My dad ordered medium rare and the thing was still twitching.Never again. Too bad to. It was a great place.

Not that it will matter at this point since the restaurant in permanently closed but my son and daughter in law held a surprise birthday party there for me in June. We had good service and good food. We were in one of the banquet rooms with lur table set up length wise across from each other.

Living about 1.25miles away Steak’s is convenient and was a quality restaurant. Quality has gone down and price has gone up. Now extra FEE for using credit card. I’m done

Unfortunately the change of ownership has taken its toll on this previously outstanding steakhouse. Not only was the steak not properly cooked (which, for those of you reading this review will know was almost unheard of with the previous owners), the service was a 2/10. Mark, the previous owner, would make it a point to visit every (or almost every) table and to strike up a genuine conversation - he somehow would remember names and prior events. This isn’t something that I expect every restaurant owner to be able to do but I’ll be damned if it isn’t something that is greatly missed. I wish this place and the new owners the very best but it is unlikely myself or my friends will be returning.

I use to love going here but since the ownership changed, the place is not anywhere near to the standards of the previous owners. I ordered a country fried steak but got country fried chicken. Also they lost their liquor license so no adult drinks. I won't be going back.

No liquor license. Charges 4% more for using a credit card. Items on menu have changed dramatically. Blue cheese dressing taste sweet.

Saturday June 18, we went because he have loved this restaurant in the past. We don't live close so try to incorporate it into our travels when in the area. This is what we heard yesterday when we tried to order please keep in mind Prime Rib and Ribs are the Saturday Specials we arrived at 4:15 or 4:30 while the restaurant opened at 4. I wanted to order the large filet, we don't have any right now. My mom wanted to order the ribs we don't have any my husband and dad were going to have the prime rib and it was still in the oven. My mom was going to order the pork chops and they were out of those also. We finally all ordered something and it was tasty but sure not the experience we have had in the past.

Table bread was probably the best thing I had there. Smoothed steak was terrible, cheese covered was crazy. The onions tasted like it came from a French onions soup can. The onions were transparent and overly salty. The beer batter cod tasted like old fish. The breading was done well. Btw they lost their liquid license so don't expect to get a drink.

I was part of a large group that came in on 5/14/22. I couldn’t believe how ridiculous our experience was. I understand that taking care of a large group isn’t easy but Tammy the waitress and Julie the host were so bad at their job it was comical. Originally we were told that if we move the tables we just had to make sure we didn’t block the isle ways. Tammy was consistently rude and shouted at us “how are we supposed to serve you like this?” when we moved our tables, then went and told on us and Julie came in a scolded us like we were children. Keep in mind that both doorways and isles were completely clear. After this debacle, we were informed that they could not serve alcohol by Tammy as if we were supposed to know already. The food was overpriced and gross, the steak was tough and hard to chew. Then when we received our bills there was a 20% gratuity charge as if this place couldn’t be more of a joke. The one shinning spot about this experience was the younger waitress whom I don’t know the name of. She tried her hardest and was very pleasant. 0/10 DO NO RECOMMEND. Save your money and Do not go here.

We came in tonight with a large group for a private reservation in their separate banquet room and the service was comically terrible at best. There was a younger waitress trying her hardest to be accommodating to our giant group but the host, Julie I believe was her name. And the older waitress, Tammy were two of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. The food was sub-par at best but the service made this an experience we, and the rest of our group of 30 people would never repeat. I have historically had good experiences here but tonight’s will be my very last. Absolutely do not recommend!

I booked a reservation for a large group of people. We did have a few cancel last minute, but still had about 35 people and I had booked for 40-50. The booking process was very smooth. When we arrived, we were escorted to the banquet room. Each table was serperated as if we were going to seperate our group, not going to happen, we all wanted to visit with eachother not be seperated. We had two waitresses, Sarah and Tammy. Sarah was great and she did the best she could while on the other hand, Tammy was the complete opposite. Tammy was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude from the get go. We were told we could move the tables together as long as we did not block the door ways, so we did and the door ways remained open. Tammy threw a HUGE, and quite uncalled for, fit! She then proceeded to give attitude with each person in our party. There was one point where Tammy was gossiping with other staff and staring at us that I got up and stared at them to make sure there wasn’t a problem, to which they scattered their group and our food orders finally started to be taken. The food was ehh sub-par. As the head of this reservation, I continued to make sure the servers did not need anything. At the end of the night, there were a few bills Tammy made mistakes on and when confronted why people were charged for soda or meals they did not have, she got an attitude about taking them off. I thanked Sarah for service, but did not thank Tammy. I made sure that the banquet room was left in good shape by cleaning up all trash and organizing everything else, as a previous waitress would do. Just to add, there was a 20% gratuity fee that was added to each bill that was not mentioned of (not the worst part, just a heads up for future parties). Also, there was absolutely no alcohol due to them not being able to obtain their liquor license. I will not recommend this place nor will I visit again. Highly unsatisfied. Staff need to be educated on professionalism.

Had reservations for 26 for drinks and lunch. Verified three times about the number and making sure alcohol drinks were available. The last conversation was two days prior. Upon arrival, our group was told no alcohol; they had lost their liquor license the week before. None of our group will return after being treated dishonesty.I will say that the food was good and the service adequate.

We have been frequent customers here for years, but the food quality and preparation has definitely gone downhill since changing ownership. We were there a few days ago when they had turkey dinner on the menu. My turkey not only smelled bad but was overcooked, shredded and floating in gravy. It did not come in slices. It reminded me of what they used to serve in the school cafeteria. The server told me they sell a lot of it. It came with a peach cobbler for dessert and it was what can only be described as tough. Our server/waitress was great to us and attentive, so that was a plus. The bread is not as good as it used to be which the whole family used to love. My husband's steak was very overcooked for a medium steak. The vegetables also came out cold. It's a shame that this restaurant is not anything close to what it used to be. This is the second time in a month we've experienced overcooked food there.

We had some friends come from Lansing and decided to go out for dinner. Having been to Steaks Eatery on a few other occasions we recommended this restaurant, not knowing that the place had been sold to another owner. I was not only extremely unhappy with the place as it is now, I was also very ashamed that I recommended it to our friends. Although they had tons of room in the normal dining area we were seated in the back room, I guess because they wanted to get another waitress involved. She must have been new because the service was terrible. Now we get to the food. Forget it. My buddies wife ordered the sirloin tips, took one bite and said she could not eat it. He told her to take it home for the dog, she said the dog wouldn't want it. All and all, it was a bad experience and we won't be going back.
