After a great experience a few months ago, we were excited to return to Veritas. Sadly, our second time (5/4/24 @ 6:30 pm) was highly lackluster. We had a reservation, but were seated at the bar. The bartender had so many tables (6 I think?) plus the bar. She tried her best, but of course we had terrible service. Her "helper" was nowhere to be found. Waited about 40 mins for our app, another 20 for our dinner. Food would have been pretty good had it not been cold. They did comp our app, but too little too late. Doubt we'll be back.

Food was all over the place and pricey for Jackson. Restaurant was understaffed on a Friday and tables / floor remained uncared for throughout the evening. Blasting singer/ songwriter music made the bar uninhabitable. The bathroom has rocks in the sink which got me to wonder, "How do they clean this mess every night?" Yet, they do have good crab cakes. I think time for a deep owner meeting.

The place looks nice but the food was not good at all, extremely salty. My spinach tasted like a plate of salt and the fish was very salty and they brought out two very small pieces of Walleye.I had to send it back. My daughter’s food was served cold. I tried the pasta and it was also salty after I asked the waitress to tell the chef to go very easy on the salt. I will not return

Was expecting the food to be better considering what the price was on the menu. Several of us had to send back our steaks and had cold potatoes. Service and atmosphere was good, just not satisfied with the food. Food was the reason why we choose to go there, gave it 3 out of 5. Probably should be 2.5.

My hunny and I came in last friday evening and had Jazz as our server. She was amazing and knew the menu very well. The blackened chicken tortellini was delicious and had lots of flavor. The cocktails were great too. Highly recommend Veritas.

The reason for my rating is that Veritas was closed when I arrived for my reservation. Open Table readily accepted my reservation and I invited my guest who was arriving from out of town. Front door locked and I tried side door by bar thinking this might be the lunch entrance. It was open but not a soul was around, Last I checked, Veritas is still showing reservations for lunch time. I quickly contacted my colleague and we met at a nearby restaurant instead. It's frustrating when I cannot rely on the reservation system and I will be hesitant to consider Veritas for lunch meetings.
