the cake is great so the food is not the issue but just weird behavior from the staff. owner yelled at workers in front while we were ordering and it was just uncomfortable and unprofessional

We had them make our gluten-free wedding cake. It was delicious and perfect for our small gathering. It got compliments from everyone.
My review will be based on customer service . I was desperate to find a cake to be delivered to a friend of mine who had just been placed in hospice on his birthday today. I have been looking for someone who could deliver a for almost 4 days, but due to the remoteness of his home I was turned down. I was referred to Bert's bakery. Rita answered the phone and listened to my story. Within 15 minutes the order was placed and delivered today as well . Although my friend is very ill, he enjoyed having a piece of cake for his birthday along with his brother and two sons. They said the Almond poppy seed cake was delicious. My friend said that he did not remember the last time he blew out a birthday candle. Thank you Rita for making this happen and having the Compassionate Heart that you do. This made my day as well . I was sent a photo of the cake and it was beautiful

Bert's Bakery did our daughter's wedding cake on 11/11/23, and it was absolutely gorgeous! The bride sent Amy a picture of what she wanted, and it turned out even more beautiful than the picture. Amy did an amazing job. It was so delicious. We received so many compliments about the cake--how beautiful it was, and how delicious it tasted. If you need a cake vendor in the Kalamazoo area, I highly recommend Bert's Bakery. It was worth every penny.
