General Tso was bland, as was the Chicken Lo Mein. A lot of batter on the chicken, some pieces were almost entirely batter. For the price I expected more food & better quality.

We were off prime hours and in a hurry, so we hit the buffet with little expectations. It was all fine and filling, and the price was right. They made us fresh wontons so that merited a review and a star. This also after our last vist across the street to another chinese restaurant ended up in an an hour from order to delivery of our food.

Great little spot, pretty quiet not a lot of people usually for dinner so nice and intimate. Would recommend the salt and pepper tofu, crab rangoons, fried rice, and Kristine who works there is always so

I had to update my review — which remains steadfastly that this is the best international restaurant in the whole Kalamazoo area — to include my 9-year-old’s handwritten review below (and a photo of the fantastic Sichuan poached pork!). We adore this restaurant and urge anyone looking for authentic Chinese food to choose Sichuan Cuisine every time! They are so friendly, the food is delicious, and they have been such a positive pet of this community and our lives since we moved here from NYC. Come and get it, Kalamazoo!Kid-friendliness: The manager is so sweet to our kids — she remembers their names and is always so welcoming. They feel quite at home here!

"From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported to the heart of Sichuan, China, thanks to the authentic and sensational flavors that graced my palate. The mara soup, a masterpiece of culinary art, was an exquisite symphony of spices and textures, perfectly balanced to tantalize the taste buds.Accompanying this was a serving of fried rice that was nothing short of perfection, each grain infused with rich, aromatic flavors that spoke of the chef's skill and passion for authentic Chinese cuisine. This restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's a destination for those seeking a genuine and unforgettable Chinese dining experience. Their commitment to quality and authenticity makes them not just the best Chinese restaurant I've ever visited, but a true gem deserving of widespread acclaim and recognition. If you're looking to embark on a culinary journey to the heart of Sichuan, look no further, this restaurant is where your search ends.

Their tofu dishes are sooo good. If you're looking for vegetarian/vegan options this is the place to go!

I keep trying to give this place a chance, but the food is horrible. Way too much salt and way too oily. Meat is fatty. The food is expensive as well. There's a reason Hunan is always busy.

The best Chinese food I have ever had! Really! This is a Gem!? I always tell people about this place. I joke and say it's like someone's grandmother is in the kitchen making the food! It tastes so homemade, and authentic! It really makes me feel at home!

I would recommend you do not visit this restaurant. I don't know how long they been in business but they don't know how to run it. We sat down. She brought us menus. We did not see what we wanted in the menu n asked. She said oh this is old menu n brought us a new menu showing us what we were looking for. Then she brought the bill. Obviously being over charged on 2 meals n 2 order of crab wontons, practically double! She said it was right b/c it was an old menu n there was a page full of writing that says there menu is 8 years old, I guess. Idk we didn't go there to read a book. But she stated that the prices are 8 yrs old n it would cost too much to make new menus. Long story short, she called someone n they said yes menus are 8 years old n it would cost too much to provide new. What a joke. Don't waste your time. To the owners, time for new menus. That's part of being in business. If it's too much maybe you are in the wrong business. Stay away folks.
