Henderson wines is very good. I like the Castle blend the best.

Cool and unique place to visit. We were greeted warmly upon arrival. Stayed in one of the rooms for one night. The room was big and comfortable. Dinner prices are high. We opted to go into downtown Kalamazoo to eat, which is also a fun option. This is a piece of history I am happy to support.

Didn't stay here but made the long drive to experience it and have dinner.Staff- very sweet smiling welcoming... that's what deserves the stars.Property - smaller than I expected. Left late and she was still working out on the garden. Very sweet and small chat she made sure we didn't miss seeing an area on property.Wine - red recommendation with dinner, medium bodied, good.Drinks - amazing bartender wears a few hats so drinks take a bit, you better be patient for a good drink.Food - we had steak, seafood, and kids chicken dinner. Both steak and chicken were good, don't order scallops. Apologies but no recommendations to order something else, re-do, or anything off the check. I provided feedback on my experience 3 times and still no customer service on this expensive dinner. Only picture taken so you believe me. If I come back to this area for whatever reason I may only come back to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden, nothing more. All reviews I read were older so gave it a try.

Wine tasting was excellent! Great friendly staff especially John. Beautiful grounds. We did not stay in a room. We stayed for dinner. Steaks were excellent!

We stayed here a year ago and had a horrible time. We weren't informed that our bathroom was out of service until we arrived. They offered us a room on the other side of the ballroom which has a functioning bathroom. Granted, the bed and toilet were five feet away from each other and had no walls. We were granted the use of that room at no extra charge...across the ballroom. They could care less about the issue. We left a negative review and it was quickly deleted by the Castle.I'd avoid this place at all costs.

I tried to get in for the winery tour but they were booked. I was informed that I could walk around on first floor of house and the grounds outside. The unfortunate situation is that they are doing renovations so a lot of hard to get to spots. I couldn't stay for more but the hosts and other working staff I ran into were absolutely fabulous. They gave what information they could in the small amount of time, I can't say enough about how pleasant they were

This Castle was truly without magic! We walk in from out of town to do a wine tasting. We are kind of greeted as we walk in. Granted place was poorly marked that they did wine tasting here, and general directions on getting to the place. The castel attendees were less than friendly and said they would be doing a wine tasting at 3. Mind you... it was past 3:30 at this point. No where did they have anything about "reservations" they asked if we wanted to come by tomorrow. Again. From out of town. So negative to that. They offered we could sit in the bar for a drink but the people in there said they were not able to ring up a drink. 1 star here was extra generous as this place complete dissapointment and such a destruggle!!

Called multiple times to set up a reservation, left a message and never got back with me. You would think if reservations were required you would have somebody answering the phone…

Not going back here after a really subpar experience and later hearing from others that they had similar troubles. After waiting almost an hour from when the tour was supposed to start at 2pm (we were told the tour guide was in the bathroom supposedly this whole time but we never saw the individual), plans were changed to do the wine tasting and then the tour. My wife and I didn't care for any of the wines. The bartender then became our tour guide and did a decent job of showing us around the castle and wine cellar (15 min tour with some stories). While we were at the castle there was a wedding going on right out front with guests and wedding party walking in and out of the castle which added to the feeling of us being secondary or unwelcome. There were two nice employees attending the front desk which seemed to be overwhelmed trying to manage everything going on. I gave this a 2 star, instead of 1 star, review because the front desk ladies were nice and gave us complimentary champagne (honestly better than any of the wines) for our patience in waiting almost an hour as well as because the bartender was nice. The castle was cool and the whole place has a lot of potential to be way more but there seems to be a management and/or employee staff problem (I left out several other things about this). I hope they get things sorted. Cheers.

We stopped by on Saturday, hoping to do a wine tasting. We did a tour, and wine tasting. We ended up staying for dinner.I must say Louie,Danielle and Presley were outstanding!!!The house and grounds are fabulously maintained. Danielle did our tour. She did a great job. Lots of interesting information. She was also our waitress :)Louie is truly an asset to this Place! Funny, knowledgeable, helpful and really made us feel welcome.People need to understand Covid hurt so much of the businesses. Louie and Danielle worked tirelessly. The didn't complain. They were doing the job of 10 people. They maintained professionalism, a sense of humor and never made us feel like a burden. We will be back!!! Thank you all so much.

I spent my graduation night here, really made some fantastic memories, if you have a love for old architecture and rich history, this is a must for me
