Great, simple and relaxing atmosphere. Food was great. First had J Gumbos in Columbus, OH so was happy to find the one and only in Kalamazoo, MI.

For a quick chain this was good food and a fun atmosphere. It was nice we didn't have to wait long since it was late and the food was good and something different than your normal fast food fair.

First time trying this place and we loved it. great authentic taste. Great portion sizes for a great price. The bumblebee stew was the perfect balance of sweet and a little spice. Will be back to this hidden gem

Not the experience I was looking for, I'm a traveler by trade. The mac and cheese is over cooked and mushy, the jambalaya has good flavor, but only rice no meat. I think the owner of this restaurant should make the short trip to Marque in Akron Ohio for a taste of competition. Hands down the worse experience for soul food to date.

Interesting dishes, some were tasty. I opted not to order the rice base, so my bowl had very little food. Would be great if they added a caulirice option for folks who are watching carbs. The cashier wasn't very pleasant, so that was a talking between the customers who observed the same unpleasantness. Inside was good for dine in with Colorful decor. They do let you sample, which was a plus.

Honestly I ordered the food a few months ago and the gumbo was bad and so was the jambalaya. Would not recommend.

This is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience! Creol food is amazing and this place does it well. Service is good and they are patient and helpful if it’s a new experience to you.

Just average. Even the wimpiest member of our group could eat their hottest spiced item, so that should tell you want you're in for. The best was the crawfish etouffee dip. Everything else was pretty blah.

The best J.Gumbo's I've ever been to. That for sure. I ate crawfish.
