This Mexican food has a hint of modernism, not a bad thing, however not my type of Mexican food.They have your classic Mexican dishes you can find at most authentic Mexican restaurants.I did not like the consome being extra money with the birria taco plate when typically it goes with the dish automatically. I stopped in for breakfast a few weeks ago and was blown away by how delicious their breakfast tacos are! Their chorizo is authentic and with the right kick of spice, it's so good. I can't wait to come back for lunch and try something new.

We had a fabulous lunch at La Familia Cafe. I enjoyed the wet burrito and my wife and son had the tasty Birria Taco plate with a cup of consome, which was delicious touch. The service was spot on in the open space dinner room. Located in the downtown district, parking can a challenge but it's well worth the flavor blast.

By far my favorite breakfast spot in Kzoo. Cool restaurant downtown and or quick and speedy pick up. The food is full of flavor and amazing. Every time the food is cooked to perfection. My favorite is the chorizo breakfast quesadilla. The breakfast tacos are also great. This is the chorizo breakfast Gordita I had this morning for pick up. Keep up the great work La familia crew! Five stars.

Our family stopped in after the Kalamazoo Christmas Parade and had a fantastic lunch - and the server was nice. The owner came over to check on us. The food was great!!!!
Great tacos even during rush hour. After a small misunderstanding they refunded me and let me keep the extra food without even asking so safe to say great customer service as well.
I've been looking for Birria tacos everywhere and finally found a place that had them on the menu! I took my dad here for his birthday and all the food we tried was delicious. Great service, and house made chips and salsa to boot! I will be back again soon!
