What a weird experience! The food was great, but expensive, and everything you might want is an add-on. They have a new business model where you have to go up to the bar to place your order, and you pay when you order, so when I was prompted to tip, I didn't tip much, because I thought that was the extent of the service. In fact, FOUR people repeatedly stopped by our table to refill drinks and take empty dishes. They were there so often that our conversation was constantly interrupted. We also had to tell four separate people we didn't need any more water. It got to the point where it was really annoying. It was fun to try something new, but I won't be back.

This was my first time coming here. Not having wait staff is very disappointing. You wait for a table, get seated and then have to keep going to the bar to order. I understand staff shortages but if I'm paying $100+ (4 people) for dinner, I don't want to have to keep getting up to order refills on drinks, make requests get boxes etc. The food was very cold. I polietely asked to have my sub warmed up and they brought me an entire new one. It was colder than the first!! My daughter had the lasagna, also cold, about 3 bites in she said it tasted like chemicals and she instantly broke out in hives and her face turned red and swollen. The only thing warm was the garlic bread that came out after we already had our meals. I guess now I know not to return.

Real Italian sauce , pizza, pasta, apps, it's All very Good! My favorite Italian food is at Martini's. Friendly, clean, fine art decor too.

As an Italian, I'm offended. Never in my life have I witnessed such a disrespect to eggplant parm. The staff never seem to want you there. I just can't figure out what people enjoy about this place.

Martinis has a nice vibe. The drinks are good and the service was too. There are limited options for vegans. The live music was a bonus. I would visit again, as a vegan I would eat first.

Hello, I recently got a job at Martinis Pizza, and I just wanted to write a review advising other people not to work there and for customers not to support this establishment. The restaurant's owner, Rich, is probably one of the most rude and disrespectful people I've ever met. When Rich interviewed me, I felt extremely uncomfortable with his inappropriate questions, especially as a young female college student. However, I decided to give the job a try anyway and quickly regretted it. Many locals know he treats his staff poorly, and after working for him, I'm here to say that he is indeed awful to work for. When I started, they no longer had any servers there. You have to go up to the bar and order. I am guessing that one of the main reasons why Rich's restaurant functions this way is simply because he cannot keep employees because of his atrocious attitude and cruel treatment. He is also impolite and vulgar to customers, so if your food comes out super late and you try to find out why, don't be surprised by his aggressive behavior towards you. So please take my advice. There are so many restaurants besides this one to visit in Kalamazoo, and I strongly suggest you find another one.

I wanted to check out Martini’s for the first time and was very confused about the entrance. The front door to the street is locked, went around back and ended up accidentally going to the kitchen ? The side door is the enterance. I sat and realized you have to order at the bar. Not bad, just a little different! The staff were very friendly and attentive, checking in politely if I needed anything etc. The food was amazing, specifically loved the way the vegetables were seasoned. I’m curious to know more about the art, they have various genres of paintings and mixed media hanging. Notably, a native american painting, which was very out of place for an italian restaurant lol

Good Chicago style pizza. I'm still looking for NY style pizza in the Kalamazoo area!

I've ordered the chicken salad takeout for years. Best salad anywhere. They use freshly cooked chicken breast, asiago cheese, garlic, roasted tomatoes & a bunch of other stuff topped with their special Italian dressing. It's enough for 2-3 people. I eat it over several days. It's always done perfectly & comes with a small fresh baked sliced bread roll. Yum.

Is there any other place to go in Kalamazoo? No! Hubby and I had the squash parmesan and veggie lasagna with minestrone soup to start. Ladies and gentlemen, I understand why the place is packed to the gills on a Thursday night. Nothing tastes better than fresh food made from scratch by expert chefs. To compare: I had my 50th at the CN Tower revolving restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful meal - I am having all my birthdays hence on here, at Martini's! And for any other reason to come here too. So should you.Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetables made with attention to preserving flavour and substance. Nothing bathed in boiled water - looks all steamed or roasted.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of choices for those with intolerance or allergies (like hubby)Parking: This restaurant gets packed! We came just in time. Remember your handicap tags to get one of the spots.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level. No obstructions. Wide doorway.
