Went with family for lunch and it was pretty good. In my personal experience the salmon BLT I had was pretty boring, but everyone else around me liked the food they had so I think I just picked wrong.

Love the dining experience here. Really appreciate the quality of food and service. The menu is seasonally updated and a full bar offered. We enjoyed the chopped salad and shrimp appetizer this time around. We have been enjoying Oakwood Bistro for years. It is one of Kalamazoo’s best.

Key lime pie is amazing. They didn't have some of the menu selections available last time I went, but the food was good.

Back to Kalamazoo and Oakwood Bistro. Wife had the falafel wrap which was very good and I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was good but not hot at all. Was just a deep fried chicken sandwich with pickles. Had a couple glasses of Planet Oregon Pinot Noir which were good.

Our waitress was super friendly and informative. I got the fish and chips and it was some of the best I've ever had. The batter on the fish was just right and the fries were crispy. They also had a grilled and salted lemon to go with the fish and it was absolutely fantastic. The coleslaw that came with it was very light and fresh. My boyfriend got the smokehouse beef and cheddar and said it was very good but wished the bun was a little bigger because most of the meat wouldn't stay in the sandwich. Overall a very good experience.

So very disappointing! We waited 15 minutes without water without being acknowledged by a server or the host. Several waitresses walked by us without even looking at us we felt invisible. We left after 15 minutes of being ignored. Shame on the host and the wait staff for such nonexistent service. We won’t be returning and will spread the news.

Found this place while passing through. Set back in a strip plaza, we almost missed it. Felt causal enough, we were seated promptly and the menu looked good. Had the Smoked Cheddar Queso to start, Bistro Ribs and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. The Queso was excellent, really enjoyed the pretzel bread which was a nice change. The Bistro ribs were very good, with the meat falling off the bones. The chicken sandwich was also very good. Our server Kirsten was very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our visit here and would come again.
