I gave this place a shot twice. The first time, I had it, I had the steak burrito. The meat is almost sliced like a cheesesteak. And the flavor was a bit off. So I called it an "off day" and tried it again. Again, the same thing and I think it's just the recipe. The workers are super nice though. I would definitely say that the clientele is college students.

The Big Burrito has been a Kalamazoo staple for longer than I can remember. I have vivid memories of being a teen, and going up to the big burrito with my friends at 2am.. we felt so grown up lol Now, since the pandemic, they aren't open until 4am like they used to be. (Maybe in the future they will return to those crazy college town hours) but the food and vibe is still everything you need in a burrito place. They do now charge a dollar for chips and salsa with dine in purchases, but it's so worth that dollar! The chips are perfectly salty, crunchy and crisp and the pico is fresh and flavorful. The guac is honestly my favorite in the area, highly highly recommend picking up a side to go with your meal. We love getting the "Don't even think about it" a massive 17" burrito, for parties or movie nights. The meat in the burritos are always so full of flavor, never bland. The cheese used is Perfecto, such a great bite, especially when you add on some of their famous Verde/mild sauce. They also proudly serve Brix soda, a cane sugar soda made in grand rapids! Their root beer is one of my favorite root beers, and that's a pretty hard thing to accomplish as I'm a bit of a root beer snob. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is always hot and fresh. A Kalamazoo Classic, and I'm so happy they're still around

You know i love a good burrito, though my toilet does not. But honestly the 45 minutes of flaming shits is truly worth every bit of each and every tasty meal from The Big Burrito menu.

This place was recommended to us so thought we'd try. Inside is nice and clean. Prices are fair. We ordered a carne asada or steak Classic Burrito and a Big Burrito. They are big but missing a few ingredients. It's more of a Lettuce Burrito for us because it's packed with lettuce. Hardly any meat in it. I wish there's rice and more meat. There was no salsa served at the side. The upside, we like that the tortilla is cooked and has a bit of crunch. Would we go back? Most likely not.

The greatest restaurant establishment of all time. I hit that place up during high school, college, and now whenever I come back home. There has been some variability over time but for the most part, if you order the pulled chicken tacos/burritos, it will take you back to when De Niro and Sammy Sosa were painted on the wall holding their burritos. I'm surprised President Biden didn't stop by when he showed up the the Pfizer plant a few months ago. That guy missed out.

Been coming to big burrito for at least a decade and have always loved it. Ordered tonight the way I have been ordering it previously, due to its convenience which is a big burrito half one way half another and I got home, they got it wrong. Called they said the chef said “they apologize to bring back the old one and be given a new one” so I went back and got the complete opposite of what I was given the first time and called again to tell them they messed up again. Got hung up on. Called back, said I wanted a THIRD replacement and I was not bringing this one back, got told no. Got a different number to call, person didn’t answer. Called the store back to say give me the credit and I’ll talk to someone tomorrow, got told no to call and talk to boss tomorrow.

The Big Burrito is the best on this side of town, their Machos with pulled chicken ROCKS, when i order delivery it showed up and was tasty. I had to put it together but i liked it that way because the chips were not soggy and it was big enough to feed two, and their tacos are great.

Service: Really enjoyed our first experience at Big Burrito. The service was quick, and they let us wait in our car until our food was ready. Food: We ordered the Tacos Mexicanos, and they came individually wrapped in parchment paper with enough hot sauce to baptize a small child. The tacos had great flavor, and the hot sauce made me sweat more than my 9am Pilates class. Overall food score: 6.4/10

I don't know what happened to this place but TERRIBLE food. Barbcoa (sp) is terrible,burnt and expensive. I ate there a bunch of years ago and their burritos were killer. After reading a few reviews here I thought I'd try it again. The good reviews left here must have been visiting one of our many marijuana dispensaries and had a bd case of the munchies. WOW what a disappointment.
