I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The owners are the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They used to make fresh as you ordered but when they switched to buffet style it became a lot more convenient to eat here. The menu switches up, so you can get meatloaf, turkey, lasagna, greens, cabbage, etc etc.. very good food. I loved it. The Pot Roast is amazing!!!

We have placed orders multiple times on door dash only to find out that the restaurant is closed when the dasher goes to pick up our order that was confirmed by the restaurant. Another time we ordered for pick up and arrived to pick it up only to find out that the restaurant decided to close early and forgot about all placed orders. Don’t waste your time go somewhere that actually values customers!

Definitely an underrated restaurant. They deserve 5 stars. The portions are so gracious, the food is so tasty and let’s not forget PRICED SO REASONABLY!! If you have not tried taste of soul… you really should considerEverything on the menu is good

Unprofessional service. Food is “hit or miss”; More times than not, the food tastes like warmed up leftovers. The wait time is ridiculous, even when I’ve called in ahead of time. I would’ve pulled off but they already took my money. I’m done with this place.

The dining room was closed, and the drive-thru took 55 minutes to get thru. They were out of most side dishes and deserts and multiple main dishes. One person working the drive thru. One inside slowly cleaning.I pulled into the parking lot and watched numerous vehicles leave because it took forever just to get to the order box. The food is decent, just understaffed and losing out on mass revenue due to it.The sole employee was nice, in over his head, it seemed.I received my change from my purchase, but it was short $5. After waiting just under an hour. I just didn't care anymore and left. I won't be back to that fiasco.Where's the help?How can you run out of most food items early in the evening. Love soul food, but was really disappointed.

If you want to choke your food down, this is the spot!Ribs and meatloaf were too tough, hard, ?Flavor was, fine, palatable even. They did good on fried foods 5⭐️ but the meats… precut it into tiny pieces to reduce the choking hazard. Tough isn’t my preference when it comes to BBQ meat.Cornbread was ??, probably a good move to sell that to the other BBQ spots in town. Seems like the only thing that had any ❤️ in it.

Terrible service! We love to support local businesses but this the second time I placed an order while waiting in a long line! Once I approached the window they informed me they were out of an item which they could’ve told me at the drive thru… After waiting for My food she approaches me for the second time and stated that they were out of catfish and they had to fill the mobile orders first.Very unprofessional, Get it togetherWould not recommend!

I'm giving them 5 stars based on the phenomenal food I've had there 3 times. Today was the 4th time, and I think mom was off work, because the meatloaf was not good. 3 times, it was amazing, so whoever cooked it today, don't let them back in the kitchen! The greens are fantastic. Twice now I didn't get the sides I ordered, so check the container before you leave. The sides I did get were delicious, just really wanted those yams today, because they too, are awesome. Plan ahead. This isn't fast food. Its food cooked with love, it takes time. They run out of things because its homemade. Just know before you go. It's not always perfect, but it's good homemade food. The mac and cheese is fantastic as well.
