When people mention Hungry Howie's you know where they are talking about.To me, that's no better endorsement, it's been around longer than I've been alive, as far as I'm aware, and it's always been very good, cheap, quality food. Always a worthy choice for dinner!”

“We went there with a group from work. The pizzas were amazing and piping hot. We had a birthday in the group and they made a dessert pizza that tasted like a churro (to the next level). Great service, great atmosphere and great taste. Definitely a high recommendation to visit this place. We will be back and I will be taking my family here soon.”

We had appetizers and then took our dinner to go because baby was making a fuss, and our waitress was very understanding and got us out to-go order stat.Food was great; ordered a strawberry mojito cocktail that I never received (and was billed for, hopefully the waitress got to drink it or got to keep the money we paid as part of her tip).Will likely be back, but maybe in 5 years when I don’t have someone who throws temper tantrums.”

“Have always considered this the best sushi place around for the price. Often run great deals on Groupon. Staff is usually great depending on how busy they are. Only problem I've ever had here is with them not accepting a Visa gift card, which may or may not have been their fault.”

In addition, due to unforseen traffic conditions, I called to cancel our reservation. Hanna told me not to worry, come on in. We were over a half hour late for our reservation. “Joe Kools is the best sports bar in the area. Family friendly, great atmosphere, amazing food and drinks. Staff is very friendly and attentive. My favorites from the menu are the Steak Tips with the Zip Sauce and the Ruben Pizza. Bartenders make some great cocktails and you have the best view of the big screen t.v. sitting at the bar. Definitely recommend.”

Since we live in Metro Detroit, I thought it was a better idea to find a restaurant on the way home from East Lansing. I had never heard of this establishment, but the Google maps info was very helpful (photos, reviews), and our daughter selected Single Barrel Social.SBS did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, menu selections, and hospitality, the five of us had an outstanding experience. The staff was so accommodating, especially our waitress, Chelsea H. Our food was sublime!We are a pretty hard bunch to please and frequent all the newest restaurants in Midtown, Corktown, Downtown Detroit, Ferndale, Birmingham…and more. We were pleasantly surprised that this level of detail to everything existed on the far outskirts of Metro Detroit. Bravo!”

“Hidden gem of a brewery. All the beer options were fantastic, their food was very reasonably priced, portion sizes were good and everything tasted great. Highly recommend the gouda. Nearly every beer I tried was a winner.Plenty of history in the building and has a great ambiance and character. Beer garden is lovely (and has one of the oldest catalpa trees in the world which is super interesting), will definitely be back.”
