I had been hearing about this place for awhile as a "Must Go" breakfast place. It is a cozy location, with less than 15 tables, and a bar. Lets start with the good. Great coffee.I would normally share pictures of the food, however, after ordering, then waiting nearly an hour for the food (2 tables came in after us, were served, paid, and left before I even got a refill on my coffee) I was just ready to eat. We were told that maybe the kitchen did not get our ticket. A few minutes later, our food DID come out, and was delivered to the wrong table. It did eventually get to us.My wife had a mimosa, which was fine, and with the wait she also got an Espresso Martini...which was also fine. When the food did finally get to our table, she had ordered the Eggs Benedict... After about 4 bites she pushed it off to the side telling me it was "Ok, but not what she expected" She chose not to take it home.I had the coffee, which again was great. And ordered a Bloody Mary...which was not. It tasted like watered down V8 juice, and a little pepper. After a couple of sips I had had enough. My wife tried and agreed, saying it tasted like tomato juice. I just enjoyed the coffee instead. Unfortunately, I finished it a little too fast, and did not get a refill for about 25 minutes. And eventually tried my meal about an hour after ordering, the Bed Head BLT. Which was a weird name, as there were not any actual tomatoes on the sandwich. Just one sad cherry tomato on the side. The bacon was great, the eggs were... not seasoned and bland. The bread was good. The side of potato, undercooked, and under seasoned. The server did take the Bloody Mary off the bill, and one of the entrees (I did not ask him to do so) and apologized for the wait, and the service. Saying it was "Busy" I believe they had 2 servers to cover about 12 tables and the bar...which in all honesty, was more than enough for such a small place. Maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed. However, with food not going out, and 2 servers, they should have been out filling coffees, and waters. I did see the table next to us, wait over 15 minutes to get the bill back after paying. They also left a LOT of food on the plate. They told me that it was an "off day" for the place, and had had good food and service prior.Even after the adjustment on the bill, with tip I think it was over 60.00. So this is priced like an upscale place, but it just did not live up to the hype. We tend to have a "1 and done" rule with places that have service like this. However, the server was apologetic, and encouraged us to try again, so we may try it one more time for a dinner, just to see if maybe it was a off day.Overall, I just can't recommend this place right now.

Excellent Friday night dining experience with friends…wine, burgers, filets and salmon. Do not miss their delicious salad dressing and house baked bread. Small, charming and intimate atmosphere. One of downtown Lansing’s loviest dining spots.

Nice atmosphere, the coffee was good. Wish I could say the same about the food but everything was taking so long we ended up just paying for our coffee and leaving. Seems like it was really understaffed, like maybe 2 people working in there tops.

The minute I stepped in the door I felt relaxed! The atmosphere is very calming, bruschetta was amazing, and the French onion soup was to die over! My friend ordered the salmon which she raved about! Definitely going back for breakfast! Met chef Cari who was delightful!!!!

This quaint restaurant is devine. The relaxing atmosphere, preserving the history and architecture of the building, sets you back in time. They offer a select menu where the entrees are all spectacular and specially curated with the complimentary flavors. This locally owned restaurant is absolutely work the visit.

We went here for a Valentine's Day experience, a 4-course meal. The main dishes were amazing. However, the last course, the dessert was cheesecake, which tasted like a frozen Walmart cheesecake. I would have expected something better for this experience. The biggest flaw was not having enough employees. We started to get serviced about an hour after we were seated. A few people who came before and after us just left. That was an uncomfortable situation. The drinks were also good. Can't complain. However the service, perhaps the lack of service was the biggest flaw. Not sure if they were not ready for this event or did not anticipate the guests that were signed up for the event, but everything felt unorganized. I would like to try them again by going there without an event. I had high hopes, but I was disappointed.

So surprising walking into this space. Love the decor. Very comfortable and relaxing. They have a nice brunch menu, but we weren't looking for breakfast today. Their happy hour menu consists of a burger, bruschetta and a salad. We had the salad and burger, and they were outstanding. We will definitely be back!

Delicious food and great service. We came for breakfast and had the brioche French toast, two veggie omelettes and the breakfast nook sandwich. Everything was delicious and the coffee was great.

A little disappointed based on the price point and atmosphere. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to the standard a place like this should strive to maintain. Service was pretty meh, but nothing really to lodge a complaint about either. Maybe the kitchen was having an off day, but the potatoes were way overseasoned and the Holly was a bit off. I really wanted to love this place, however the experience was completely underwhelming.

We were impressed from the moment we walked thru the door. We sat and were quickly greeted by Hannah. We enjoyed very good coffee (their own blend) and a delicious bloody mary! After all, it wouldn't be brunch for me without a bloody!I enjoyed a breakfast nook sandwich on the homemade bread, simply amazing! A side of double smoked bacon and my lovely wife made the meal perfect!
