The Jambalaya had lots of meat but very little rice. Also the jambalaya was very mild until I got to the bottom of the bowl. The Beignets were amazing but they only offer 1 flavor of jam per day. The salmon cakes were moist and bland. They needed more seasonings and perhaps some onions/green peppers or anything to Jazz up the salmon cakes. Last but not least I think the prices are a bit over priced. I got jambalaya -salmon cakes & beignets. For a total of 50 dollars . I think it was worth about $30. I'll probably go here once a year for the jambalaya ( unless I find better) and every blue moon for the beignets.

Service was great! Ambiance was a little strange combining the old New Orleans design with retro signs, but it worked somehow. Mushroom fries were INCREDIBLE! I really enjoyed my jambalaya, and my sister enjoyed her shrimp and grits. My mom's burger left more to be desired but wasn't awful. I'd visit again!

Waitress was very sweet and attentive! Only complaint was food lacked in taste. Just found it very bland and boring. Also water tasted like eggs which probably isnt there fault its the tap.

Placed an online order and it never got put into the kitchen. This was my first experience there and all I got was. I'm sorry and I'm sorry. No money off my order. Nothing to try to make it right no more extra food. Just a bunch of im sorry. The guy behind the bar looked like he was on about five vicodin The floor was disgusting and the place smelt like a men's gym. Will not waste my money there again. Food is not even that good, and somehow it was cold. Also for the price they're asking for just a burger. Just horrible service all around

Vibes of the place are great, service was excellent and fast, all of the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was very bland. Not inedible, buy definitely underwhelming given the price point.

As always the Stars bothers me depending on what I'm reviewing and I do a lot of reviewing of restaurants and from one restaurant to another whether it's supposed to be upscale or a sports bar five stars for a sports bar it's not exactly five stars for an upscale high end restaurant this place technically high-end upscale. So, being that I placed it in that category, I got to hit it with four stars. Not that the atmosphere wasn't pleasant and the service was good. The quality of the food looks like it was excellent quality, and for the most part, I really enjoyed what I ate. but it didn't quite hit the mark of the higher upscale places I've been at. Although very good and probably half the price when you get right down to it to the high end where one person is going to drop 75 to $100 on themselves this place you probably can get out of there with a drink and your meal for 30 to $50. I'll tell you what, though, the people that are working there, at least we're working there the night that I left, are honest as the day is long. I left my backpack in there, and that thing was loaded up with all kinds of stuff. I could tell when I got back there to pick it up. They had taken it to the bar and kept it safe for me. They hadn't unzipped one pocket or moved one thing or touched one thing in my backpack my wallet hadn't even been opened up to look for an ID it was unmoved they were just keeping it safe till I came back for it! And believe me, I would have known if one thing had been touched inside of my backpack. It's definitely a nice little upscale place and the quaint Old Town of North Lansing. The area and this restaurant are definitely worth a visit to see if it fits your pallet and pocketbook. The Portobello fries are definitely something special as I'm sure many of their other products are it's just the first time I've ever ate thereVegetarian options: Not sure what options they have but I didn't see they have vegetarian options on their menuParking: Well the street parking in this area is always semi tough you might have to Circle a block a couple times but at the end of the block they have a big parking lot that usually there's plenty of room to park in and then it's a one block 50 yd at the most depending on where you park in the parking lot LOL to the restaurant doorKid-friendliness: This question here always gets me too I grew up in the restaurants so I was a well-mannered kid in the restaurants. Obviously if your kids well-mannered and been in the restaurants then this is a kid friendly restaurant but it's a little upscale so generally no it's not a place for kids but if you're that kind of family the takes your kids everywhere and they're well mannered then this would be a great place to take them for a nice meal out on the town. but it isn't a place for kids to playWheelchair accessibility: Well the curb lines on the sidewalks leading from the parking lot are cut for wheelchairs in the floor plan in the restaurant is pretty wide open so it shouldn't be any problems for wheelchair accessibility

This place has some of the best creole food outside of New Orleans. The staff is really friendly and they take good care of you. A little pricy but worth it.

Maybe it was just an off night but I was there on 3-13. Three people at the bar talking loudly which is fine. Moved to the farthest seat. Ordered the beignets, they were flat which told me the dough was old. I ate them anyway. I love dessert first.Waitress/bartender's gum was so minty, I had to stop breathing while she was talking to me. I do not like the smell of mint. Ordered my meal and waited for my burger. Three people at the bar including the waitress/bartender start a loud conversation about sexual activities including some very inappropriate likes and dislikes of their partners. I was only one customer but I was shellshocked. Asked another server for a box and was out of there. I ordered a Nawlins Burger... the bread was stale and I am just befuddled by the whole situation with conversation... I wrote on my bill though. No photos it was so dark in there. It used to be so good :(My bill was $25.00. I tipped $5.00. I would try it again because maybe it was an off day but I was so disappointed with the food and the atmosphere. I really needed a good meal that day. Note: I recently met a follower and they said I should post this after a conversation.

Amazing little restaurant in Old Town Lansing, MI. The food tasted amazing: I got the fried chicken and biscuit with Creole deviled eggs. The fry was crispy and not soggy, the biscuit was perfectly balanced between dry and moist. The deviled eggs were a good size for an appetizer. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy and fits the theme and old town vibe. Highly recommend.

I really loved it. My waitress was great. She even recommended a drink they have called Trust Us. It doesn't list the ingredients but it was so good. I got the fish and chips with a side of cheese grits with bacon. It was all delicious and I even had some to take home. I will be returning. ?
