Still one of our family's favorite places to visit during trips up north, a true highlight of every vacation. There aren't many things in the world much better for an afternoon or evening snack than a hunk of smoked whitefish, a container of smoked fish dip with crackers, and a nice glass of wine while overlooking the waters of Lake Michigan. Just discovered this place summer of 23. The smoked fish is fantastic, but the beef jerky is the best I have had in my 63 years. We will be back there every summer going forward.

We love pairing some of Carlson's fish jerky with the Cheese Shanty's cheese curds! The crew here is hard-working and around early hours smoking fish. Fresh catches daily and delicious!
