I had a very awkward experience when I rang the doorbell at Perrone Vineyards/Farmhouse Stay this morning around 11:30. I had noticed the vineyard while driving by and looked at the website. We often vacation in the area, so I wanted to check it out. A disgruntled woman in a hair net opened the door. When I asked for more information about the vineyard, she said they were not a vineyard, they were an Airbnb. The word “vineyard” is in the name, but okay. I asked about wine tastings. She asked why I thought they had wine tastings. I replied that the website indicated they had tastings and appetizers from 5-7 pm every day. “Those are for our guests,” she said inthe same impatient tone. Looking at the website later, I saw that there was a separate paragraph under the wine tasting information about making arrangements for special events. But since a specific time is listed, it certainly looks like it is open to the public every day from 5-7. It doesn’t mention it is limited to guests or only available by special arrangement. Please don’t punish potential guests for poor communication on your website.I gave the place two stars because the setting was lovely and the building looked attractive. I’m glad other people have had a pleasant experience there. I must have hit the wrong person at the wrong time. But even though I visit the area every year, I will not ring their doorbell again.

Great stay, definitely recommend! We staid for a night between biking the heritage trail and the little traverse wheelway. Host provided a nice intro of the property, suggestions on places to see in the area, and helpful info on our biking route. Make sure you budget time to enjoy the views out front and back - very cool!

We immensely enjoyed our stay at Jerry and Jane’s place. They are extremely hospitable and kind. We learned a lot about wine making and wine tasting. Fascinating. Jerry is a treasure house of knowledge and it was so interesting to engage in conversations with him. The place is so charming, well kept and beautiful. We would love to stay there again. Thank you Jerry and Jane.

Enjoyed a beautiful weekend away with our friends from Philadelphia, PA. The home was pristine and the rooms were wonderful with each having a private bath. Each night we were provided with hor dourves and wine. In addition, a wonderful breakfast each morning. Marlene, Jerry and Jane were wonderful hosts going out of their way to see we were comfortable and had a pleasant experience. I cannot reccomend this B&B enough. The location was so close to the ferryboats to Mackinac Island too.Thank you for a very memorable stay.

This place was amazing! Jerry the host was sooo much fun 😊 The wine was awesome & we had sooo much fun hanging out! Not your typical winery at all. It's a B&B. I would highly recommend coming here.
