Decent place with pretty good food. However don't even bother calling ahead. You'll be immediately put on hold for at least 15 minutes, and that's if they even pick up. Sometimes they'll just drop the call so you'll have to call again just to be put on hold all over again. If you walk in your experience should be fine.
While "coney island" is a reference to a particular preparation of hot dogs, probably invented in Detroit, in the metro area, the term has come to be ubiquitous with what the rest of the Midwest would simply refer to as a diner.We visited this location to try their "coneys" and were very pleased with the menu, service, food, and value.Dix coney sauce is more of a traditional chili, but a tasty treat none the less.
