I ordered from Basil Bowl via DoorDash and explicitly mentioned 'no onion' due to my wife's severe allergy, as she has CVS and any exposure can lead to vomiting. Despite this, they disregarded the request, which is not only concerning but potentially dangerous. As a business owner myself, I find their neglect for customer safety alarming. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to ignore such critical details, especially when it comes to food allergies. If I wanted to jeopardize my wife's health, I would have chosen a different establishment. I urge Basil Bowl to prioritize customer safety and pay closer attention to special requests in the future. I’m very displeased and disappointed in the restaurants business today. They say “eat out” more like “make sure your casket is ready” at this point.

I was passing basil bowl on my way home from work and was excited to try it. I LOVE PHO and don’t get it much. I ordered the beef pho and spring rolls. Spring rolls were ok nothing new, the pho was definitely lacking flavor. Pho is usually packed with great tasty broth filled with some fresh veggies. The broth was terrible lacked flavor I had to fill it with hoisen and chili. The amount of chili I had to add was crazy and that didn’t have much flavor. The tables were not very clean, all the utensils were empty and I had to grab one myself from the kitchen. Employees were in computers and not paying attention to making the place presentable. I really had a great feeling walking in for pho but unfortunately I will be going to usual go to for pho and will not be back… bummer

I wanted to try this new place for sometime, I took a to go order of a Chicken stir fry. Menu is extensive, Asian fusion with lots of options to venture out.Chicken stir fry came with soup base bit surprised to see a stir fry with a soup base but it was good. Spice level was really great, real Thai spice level!! Will try different dishes soon for sure.

Service was great and the food was okay. It came out so fast there's no way it was cooked to order. You can expect it to be decent and quick but not spectacular. I think you can find something better and more authentic for the price. It's a welcoming place and the ladies who work there are nice but the food is just not good enough to be back.

A Fresh Twist on Asian CuisineDirectly on Haggerty Road in Livonia, the newly opened Basil Bowl promises an eclectic mix of Asian flavors. As a new addition to its chain, this spot is making waves with its vibrant and varied menu. From Phõ and Ramen over Noodle and Rice dishes to Curry and stir fry dishes, the Basil Bowl covers a wide Asian culinary spectrum. The ambiance strikes a balance between chic and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and dinners. The highlight of Basil Bowl is undoubtedly its creative fusion dishes. While the adventurous foodie in me applauded their culinary daring, not all combinations hit the mark. Some dishes, like the Tom Kha Ramen, felt more like a clash of titans than a harmonious blend.Service at Basil Bowl is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

Very good food. My current favorite Thai place. The rice bowls are wonderful and the curry I tried was great. Have seen other negative reviews but my experience was great. Especially at lunch special prices.

Stopped in here when my 7-year old asked for Ramen after our Costco shopping trip. She got the Pineapple Curry with Chicken to share with me and my husband had the Panag Curry with rice. The pineapple curry was very tasty but spicy. I didn’t mind the spice and my daughter tolerated it but be warned, you can’t adjust the heat on the curry. This place was a big thumbs up.We will be back.

Went there to eat a couple days ago, I ordered a "pho beef", rice noodles were too soft and broke down, the broth was bland and both of the meat were overcooked, this "soup" looked and tasted like one of those maggie soups, and very expensive too, I'm definitely never coming back :)

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. I had the chicken Pho which was just average and the Tom Yum Ramen which was average also. Not my first choice for either but there is something to be said for quick service and fast turn around time. Other places I like to frequent have long lines and take a long time to get your food. So I would frequent again for a quick meal.
