Nicole is the best. I only go to JAlexander’s because of Savannah and Nicole. They are the best girls ever. Great customer service. Nicole is the best bartender ever. Every time I order a drink it’s fixed to perfection. I can’t say enough about these girls.

Busy location on a saturday. If you get there before 5pm you most likely will get seating. After 5pm there was a wait. We could not make a reservation for 5 to 6 people online nor over the phone. First come first serve. Under 4 people you can make a reservation.Everything we ordered tasted good except for the carrot cake. Too dense, too much carrot, too oily and sweet. The Key lime pie was delicious. Alex salad delicious. Steak brassiere( I think with the madiera and mushrooms) delicious. Spinach and artichoke dip with tortila chips delicious.Crab cake good. Large portions everything. Many people had to go bags. They were also busy with alot of take out orders. Food came in a reasonable amount of time though. Drinks were 2 for 1 ( not sure if this is always or only on a saturday etc). Juice was a free refill. All of the drinks tasted good and strong. Not watered down thankfully.Bread was not given for the table. The toilet was smelly and the stall doors open inwards with not much clearance. Free wifi. Tons on free parking.Overall a good dinner. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The Kitchen area was open and you can see the chefs cooking. I would return and I recommend. Guess it is true what they say about busy locations that the food has to be good. This is true at this location.

This is an extraordinary restaurant. Our party of five arrived at 5pm and our wait was only 15 minutes. Our appetizers were quick, drinks and entree were quick and delicious. What an amazing meal. HIGHLY

Prime Rib is absolutely delicious and has delicious flavor all the way through. It's probably the best Prime Rib I have ever had. The Filet is amazing as well and has a camp Fire wood flavor throughout. The calamari comes with a delicious marinara to dip. I normally get the Ahi Tuna .... I've never had anything that wasn't delicious.

Very disappointing visit at J. Alexander's Livonia. I came to specifically enjoy my favorite menu item, the Pecan Trout. Our server took our order, only to come back and tell me they weren't preparing the Pecan-crusted trout today. They were doing a Cajun Trout. How can you just not do a standing menu item? My husband's piece of Prime Rib was very fatty. Our server was clearly new, as my plate and substitutions came all messed up (I wanted fries instead of mashed, and green beans instead of broccoli). I got mashed AND fries, and no vegetable. Had to wait for them to make a second plate. And last the noise level was horrible. I couldn't hear the servers and they couldn't hear me. Maybe that was part of the problem? Anyway, we normally enjoy J's but this visit was a disappointment.
