My visit was toward the end of lunch hour, so customer traffic was low. I was slow to read through the menu, however the girl behind the counter was patient with me.I got a turkey sandwich for my wife, and small pizza for myself. We were both pleased with the freshness of the food and ingredients.I will be returning

Moved back to Monroe after a few years and wanted to go to my favorite place to eat. The service is just bad here. I have had multiple stomach surgeries and can't eat certain things that come on their sandwiches. They act like you're a complete menace for trying to order your food without items that will send you to the hospital.Their bread selection has dwindled down and when I asked about the other loafs I used to buy, she got rude and told me "it doesn't sell" and walked away.I don't know how much more I'll be giving these grumpy people anymore money.Dietary restrictions: They hate if you have restrictions on your diet. They throw a fit if you need to custom order your food.Parking: The steep entrance will destroy the bottom of your car if you don't have a truck or an SUV.Kid-friendliness: I can't imagine them being friendly to kids, if this is how they treat adults.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP** Unfortunately, this is no longer the Erie Bread we all know and love. My office orders from here at least once a week spending $50-$100 each time. I had noticed in the past few weeks that the bread (pizza roll) on my BLTA was burnt but I didn't want to bother them by calling. Yesterday my bread was burnt to the point I didn't want to eat it and then I realized my sandwich was missing avocado, which is the whole point of a BLTA. I called and was told by the front desk that they were too busy to deal with my complaint and the owner would call me in a few hours once they slowed down. I finally received a call at 6PM, the owner said he finishes each and every sandwich and that he cant imagine he forgot the avocado and that he doesn't remember any bread being burnt. He then asked me if I took a picture and I said no, I personally didn't think I would need a picture to prove my dissatisfaction. I also mentioned that when I called right away to complain the girl on the phone never mentioned that I would need a photo and the call back I got 6 hours later a picture was no longer possible. I then flat our asked, is not making a $9 sandwich correction worth losing business from an office that orders so often?? and he said YES, what kind of customer service is this?? With this attitude he will sure ruin the reputation Erie Bread once held.

Lady who took my order and who was at the counter was rude. Rush us through our entire order asked us “is that all” multiple times before we can say what we wanted next. Seemed like she had something better to be doing. Haven’t even tried my food yet won’t be coming back. She went to the back before I even left out the store after I paid….

Best take out pizza, sandwiches, and salads in Monroe proper. The owners are wonderful people. Ingredients are fresh and properly portioned. I frequent them roughly once per week. I also had them "cater" a funeral home showing and everyone was extremely thankful for providing something of such substance (instead of a 5 foot sub from a chain...)Call ahead. Since everything is made fresh, there is usually a wait of 30 to 60 minutes for your food (but, rest assured, your food will be ready and fresh when they tell you to come get it.

Great fresh food. Everything is exceptional, highly recommend. Worth the wait if there is one.

I love the cookies. The bread and sandwiches are top tier. Pizza great, but I'd say it's more for adults then children, pairs very well with wine. Best part of this place for me is the chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookies of all time. It's hard to find this place the first time you visit, but it's worth it.

Great fresh bread, sandwiches & salads. Carry out only. They are busy at lunch. I suggest ordering ahead to avoid the wait.

Visiting from FL and this place was recommended for good sandwiches. Employee was snippy when asked about modifications due to dietary restrictions. We opened our sandwiches to check that they were made correctly and employee loudly snapped YOU CAN’T EAT IN HERE! The poor customer service alone is enough to deter me from returning or recommending to anyone else.
