Wife and I stopped in on a Monday afternoon. Beer was ice cold, food was AWESOME! Staff and customers were friendly and inviting. We even met the owner and got a tour of the place (nice touch). Cannot wait to go back! Thank you for the great food and hospitality...

I normally dont piss and moan about restaurants or service because often waitstaff are understaffed and are trying very hard to serve their customers to the best of their abilities. However, this evening at The Montrose Pub we had the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. My husband and I arrived there and waited patiently to be greeted and offered something to drink which took almost thirty minutes. Once we placed our orders I ordered a salad and fried mushrooms which I asked for as an appitizer, not complicated at all, and my husband ordered stromboli. We waited another 40 minutes for HIS food to come out. Another 15 minutes went by and the waitress came by to tell me that an order of mozzarella sticks had been sitting up there and she seemed to be trying to pass them on to me, which I declined as it was not what I had ordered. Another 10 minutes goes by and the waitress drops off a club sandwich which I politely told her I did not order that I ordered a club salad. She literally rolls her eyes at me and walks off. My husband had already consumed almost half of his enormous stromboli at that point when the waitress comes back and drops off what was to be fried mushrooms. These were so greasy and soggy that their was literally a thick layer of liquid grease at the bottom of the basket. The breading was dripping with grease and they were not even edible. At that point I was done and told Tom I wanted to leave. The waitress then brought my salad out which at that point Tom had finished his meal already and I no longer had an appetite. We paid and left. All I can say is you really need to do better Montrose Pub. That was absolutely pathetic.

We didn't eat here. A girlfriend was in town so we wanted a place where we could have some drinks and dance. There isn't any places near Flushing that have dancing except Montrose Pub!!It's cool because in the back of the pub was a live band. If that is not your thing then DJ Dave is spinning tunes in the front. DJ Dave had an excellent selection of music!! He was so nice and even played our requests!! We had a blast and will definitely be back!!

DJ Dave harasses the customers and ownership just sticks up for him and is okay with it. Every time we are there it’s just fights and drama, very tough to go have a good time at a place like this that’s just full of people doing drugs with hot tempers. I do not recommend. For some reason when I try and get the person trying to fight out of the bar to avoid any drama DJ Dave finds it okay to cuss at and belittle my 5’4 100 pound soaking wet girlfriend with a brand new baby. This is not our first issue we’ve had here but it will definitely be the last as we will not go there ever again. So sad that my hometown bar is again, so corrupt.

Looks a lot better than it did 10 years ago for sure. Not packed, which is good, but for a Saturday night that's unexpected although very welcomed.I'm not much into the music the DJ was playing inside, but on the patio area where you can smoke they had a great mix of rock and decent country.Didn't try the food, but an older gentleman while I was ordering said their pizza was great.Might come back when I'm up this way again.
