Pros: the place was clean and service was fast and friendly. cons: I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps. the menu stated it was served with stir fried veggies with crunchy rice noodles with a bed of fresh lettuce heads. the meal was compatible to a lean cuisine poured out on two Romain lettuce leafs. im convinced nothing was stir fried. this was a a bag of frozen peas and carrots and Tyson frozen pre cooked chicken microwaved. the food was rubbery like steaMable frozen veggies are. with a pile of sauce. there was a very small amount of rice noodles which were saturated in the sauce, leaving no crunch to the meal texture. I also could not eat this meal as a lettuce wrap due to the romain lettuce leaf being wilted. couldn't even cut it with a knife. no crunch from lettuce or the noodles, just rubber microwaved meal.

I have ordered from Hunan house for years, always great! food is good and service was always great! tonight, not good at all and will never order again! I called in an order and the gentleman got it all wrong. it was a delivery order an it was all wrong. when I called I was told that I could order but at my cost! they have lost a loyal customer! customer service is key! very dissatisfied!

Since there's a limited amount of competition for Chinese restaurants in Mount Pleasant, this is the go to place. Nothing exceptional. but everything was edible. Tasted fine.

We were passing through town and it happened to stop here for lunch they have authentic Japanese and Chinese I think Taiwanese meals.The food was remarkable outstanding and the sauces were perfection.The food is so good that I even placed a second order.Prices were reasonable and the staff was very attentive. Huge menu runs 4 or 5 pages all cooked fresh.The furnishings were a deep redwood finish.I recommend them highly and when in the area will be visiting them again.Gerald

The bad reviews on this restaurant are so silly to me. People are just out here complaining about everything. My only complaint about Hunan House is that its not right next door to my house. Its a 45 minute drive to get here but we do it often because Asian cuisine is seriously lacking in my county. We all have our favorites but I love the hot n sour soup. My picky children will actually eat sushi from Hunan and my husband tries something new every time because the menu is huge and not a single item on it has let him down. The booths could use some updating but other than that the food is excellent, service is decent and its well worth the price.

The food tastes like u know what. The service sucked. took forever to get food, waited ten minutes to 13 min for her to come and check if we needed anything, my drink was empty for twenty. Bad experience all the way around. Never going back. Couldn't finish our food, over cooked and or burnt . ????

Best sit down Chinese restaurant in town. The food is always delicious, fresh, and hot. This is also the only place in town I will get sushi from. I highly recommend the Michigan Roll and their Wonton Soup. Service is always very good as well.
