Thinnest pizza around with amazing flavor. The crunch crust... wow.

I went here for my first time to try their amazing pizza. We ordered three small deluxe to go. It was not ready on time, so we sat and had a drink. The server was very friendly and the restaurant was clean and very busy. The pizza was delicious, thin crust full of toppings and not too crunchy. Other than the long wait, it was a great experience!

This is the kind of place and pizza we wished we had while we lived in Florida. We debated on having some shipped, but the cost was a bit much at the time, considering the amount of dry ice that would be needed. Prices have gone up mover the years, but what hasn't? They keep it simple with only 6 toppings on a paper-thin crust, hand cut with custom-made scissors, and topped with a secret tomato sauce and cheese blend. Only recently (as in a few years, as compared to the 20 or so that location's been open) have they added breadsticks and salad to the menu. There's a reason they're named annually as one of the best in Michigan. Keep it up, Ted!

My husband , daughter and I were at your establishment last Thursday evening. First off at the front desk there is a picture with aQR code to check in to be seated. There were several others that walked in behind us and one other person in front of us. I scanned the code and it said a minute of wait time. After about 10 mins of waiting, I walked into the restaurant near the bar. I asked a server who happened to be Gabrielle if we were supposed to use the QR code or walk up further as there were other people behind us. She told me “she didn’t know what was going on and needed a minute” and walked away. I then asked another gentlemen at the bar and he ended up getting Ted.Ted came over took all of our names and said he would be back shortly to seat us. We all got seated, then Ted came back- took our drink orders and pizza orders. 15 minutes later, we had our drinks. In the mean time the two other tables that had been seated after us had gotten their pizzas. Meanwhile we were sitting there with empty glasses and patiently waiting for our pizzas to come. When we finally got our refills and I had asked Gabrielle why the two other tables got their pizzas and we were still waiting for ours she got extremely defensive and said “what tables?” My husband had pointed them out and the. She again very defensively said “well I don’t know I’m not In the kitchen, I’m out here, I can send Ted over”My husband said “send him over.”We watched Gabrielle walk to Ted, and the. Ted disappeared. Super strange as he was out before that interacting with diners and delivering pizzas. Never saw him again. Got our pizzas- they were undercooked, and tasted terrible. A true disappointment to us as we drove quite a ways to go to this particular Fricanos location. The pizzas were not cooked completely. Disappointed was an understatement. Then my husband went out to help our daughter who’s on crutches get to the car.I watched a young man walk out of the kitchen and right in front of me ask another server if we left without paying.. right as I’m sitting there. I very quickly got the bill. I paid, left her a tip.Never saw Ted, never was asked how anything was after getting the pizza, never even an “I’m sorry”Pretty disappointed that Ted couldn’t even come out to talk to my husband. What happened to admitting to being wrong- so someone messed up and didn’t put our order in? Just apologize, no need to get defensive right away. What happened to customer service? I know everyone is short staffed.. my husband and I both work full time, doing more work now due to being short staffed. I regret leaving a tip. I regret that we chose to go to Fricanos in Muskegon instead of the one on alpine. Won’t ever make that mistake again.

Good old Fricanos! I enjoy the pizzas there, but I wish they had more craft beer options.

I am from Illinois and have not been there in 20 years. It really changed. The thin crust was so soggy you could not hold it. Tasted like a cheap frozen pizza. I would never go back.

Decent food (pizza was soggy and hard to pick up) but their bartenders clearly don’t know how to read ID cards for holographic markings. I was born in 2000 so I am 22, one month away from being 23 and showed them my ID and they tried to tell me that it “feels fake.” Laughable considering I purchased Truly Seltzers at Meijer just ONE HOUR before going to dinner, with my very real ID card, that had to be scanned in order to check out. ? Definitely won’t be returning here anytime soon.

I honesty have no idea why this is rated at 4.2 stars. This review is in response to not one, or a few, but multiple disappointments. My family and I have ordered food here in the restaurant, and to take home. Each time the pizza was very greasy with a minimum of toppings - for a near premium price. Service is a little slow, and they do not substitute any items. My wife and I have been here for many events (weddings, retirement, local fundraisers). The service was very poor each time. Food was, again greasy and lacking toppings, and also took a significant amount of time to arrive to the events. MORE than one occasion - multiple tables of several people were not fed at all (other tables received food until the 'time was up').All occasions the food was greasy lacking in toppings, and/or cold coming out to the party. A table went to the kitchen area to ask if more food was still being served with 3 hours of the event left.Multiple times the staff has started cleaning up and taking away event items (food or drinks in front of guests still eating, dessert items, water glasses) HOURS before the event ending).Staff has been rude during events (asking for water); and the party purchasing services has felt 'dooped' for at leat 3 of the events we have attended. It appear that greed has overcome whatever this facility used to be, and that's really sad & disappointing to those that believe the advertising.Just a warning to those that seek an event center or meal by the lake.

Restaurant was pretty empty and it took well over an hour to get our food and two hours to get out. Our waitress was abrupt and very inattentive. The food was sub par compared to what we have gotten from Fricano’s over the past 12 years.

Only reason I am giving them 4 ⭐️ is because if they have an event going on they don’t offer salads or breadsticks. If it’s on the menu you should offer it.

I have never had a worse pizza.Be sure to check the lacking menu before dining here to see if you like their six topping options and only thin crust pizza. Make sure you order extra pizza due to the thin crust, we all left hungry. The thin crust was floppy and filled with grease, very difficult to eat. The limited toppings was disappointing. We ordered cheese breadsticks and only the center ones had cheese. Also ordered a margarita and it was a syrup, sugar rush, that we didn't even try to drink. The resturant does have a nice view, but not nice enough for us to return.

Was there the other night. Waited over an HOUR for TERRIBLE, tasteless food that cost over $75 (no alcohol). Most of the restaurant was served before us. There were five in our party. When we FINALLY got our food, some pizzas were cold, some soggy/half done. And they had run out of some ingredients. My pizza STILL wasn't done so it came 10 minutes later than everyone else even then! It wasn't the server's fault but I asked for a discount. So then Ted's (owner) wife came over. I asked HER for a discount. She said, "oh yeah, yeah... sure!" Next thing we know, Ted comes over to our table. He was stinky, dirty and loud. He had been working outside spreading bark. Got a glass of wine (unlikely it was his first one!) from our server, never offered anyone else anything, and proceeded to apparently "grace" us with his presence. THAT was our "discount," I guess. Getting visited by the stinky owner who whined about having new staff. ? Terrible food and service. Don't waste your money or your time.
