I'm a fan of less fancy and more wholesome, tasty lunches, and this fit the bill really well. I recommend eating here if you have a little bit of time, though it wasn't a long wait either. The inside was clean and I was greeted right away.The grinders are what made me stop in, and I was very impressed with my Chicago style grinder. It was super tasty, not too greasy, and a 9" was plenty to fill me up at lunchtime.Service was about 11 minutes and i would recommend it to anyone who likes grinders! I hear the burgers are good, and I'll try one of those next time.

Their goal is to have satisfied customers. I forgot to ask for onions in my hash browns. They grilled up some onions so I could mix them with the hash browns. No charge. Great team of employees.

I love the food, but it's incredibly difficult to get food. On Saturday January 28th, 2023, I was driving down Apple Ave headed to subway when I saw the open sign lit up for great lakes grinders. I did a U-turn on apple to support a local business and eat better food. I pulled into great lakes at 7:15pm with my bright lights and loud truck, and as I was parking a male worker locked the door and turned off the open sign. A girl worker at the register was laughing at the guy walking back to the kitchen. Hours posted on the door said open to 8pm. This is not the first time we have been unsuccessful in getting food from there. Phones not being answered or they answer and say they are not taking orders right now because the wait would be 90+ minutes. ☹

I absolutely love the staff here, and the food is always top notch and not over priced.These days, even McDonald's is expensive. Here you get a home cooked meal and they keep their prices as low as possible. They outbeat McDonald's and other places. Thank you to the girls who work there for always being so nice. My son and I love going there! ?
