Ordered a cake for my son's birthday with a Ninja turtle theme and a photo collage. I think it turned out and tasted amazing! I recommend them for cakes AND will use them for all my kids birthday cakes!

Easily the best local bakery in the area! My daughter and I frequent Ryke's for their cupcakes and we absolutely love everything about this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the ambience is very welcoming and chill, and the sweets are the icing on the cake!

My Family has been buying cakes here for years now and it has become a tradition almost to always get cakes from Ryke's Bakery. But until recently the past 5 to 6 years the frosting for the cakes is different, becoming more whipped. The reason that we have always gone here for the cakes is that induced "sugar coma" from the buttercream frosting, that is now gone. Not sure if it is from the new owner who said that no recipes are going to change, but not happy at all with the most recent ordered cake.

I moved back here to my beloved hometown Muskegon in November:)I live very close to here.I come here a lot. Coffee and donut(s), repeat. I tip.There's some very good young employees working the counter.There are two or three that um how do I say... They should take Business 101.I insert my card and they instruct you to hit green twice to bypass the tip.Wt helk?The first time I said that's kind of offensivem.. how do you know I don't want to tip?Then it happened again with a different employee... and I realized when you're really young you don't really care about tips well some people some some...the very young adult ones who lack common sense and who have not taken business 101bless their hearts.l ? ??

This is so disappointing I bought 4 of these jelly filled donuts, and this is what I got with all 4 . I get more jelly when I go to Wesco, a gas station, and when I go to Walmart. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or is this the new normal

Good doughnuts, hit or miss on the freshness of them, which is expected. I wish they offered their pecans dessert in store rather than make it made to order.

Ryke's is the best place to go for cakes in Muskegon. My grandparents went here and it is still as good as I remember. Their white cake, lemon filling and buttercream frosting is my favorite. In the old days it was pronounced differently ... now they are promoting the pronunciation as rhyming with bikes. But us old schoolers know that's NOT the way you say Ryke's !!! They have an online ordering system for cakes that lets you choose flavor, size, , schedule pick up and pay for everything online which is very convenient. Cakes have always been ready on time , fresh, perfectly decorated and taste amazing !!!! Don't go anywhere else this is the best.

Originally my review was a one star and I am changing that to a 5 star now because of Drew’s top Notch customer service and his willingness to make things right after a bad experience. It was so refreshing to speak to someone who truly cares about their customers experiences. He not only made things right but we also assured me that he is working to improve the culture at Rykes bakery and because of this I will give the company another shot when I am in need of a cake.
