Convenient restaurant on the main road to the lakefront. Had the Ruben sandwich special (plentiful cuts of meat, good rye bread) and side salad. No blue cheese dressing, ranch was only adequate. Wife had the fish and chips special. Haddock was over done, breading was less than adequate. Homemade tartar sauce had way too much dill. Cheesecake and carrot cake was best part of the meal! Service was solid but kitchen was slow despite only a handful of people in the restaurant.

Very good area, service was top shelf, chicken parm sandwich was a little underwhelming. Blackened chicken was very good, the fries were amazing and the BBQ sauce had a bit of heat.
The place was nice and had an overall laidback relaxing vibe. The menu was diverse and prices seemed fair for what was given. Portion sizes were big, and I loved the skin on fries. The only problem I had was with the services. Our waitress seemed to forget about us, and the place didn’t seem that busy. But she was nice.

There was a group of 4 of us. It took 20 minutes to be acknowledged only for the server to fill our water and say she’d “be right back” then not come back for 15 minutes. We put in an order for drinks, watched the bar make them then sit there for another 10 minutes before they were brought to us. We watched as our server went to other tables and never acknowledge us. We were there for 2 hours and spent most of the time waiting to even order then waiting to get what we ordered. No one seemed to care that we were not taken care of. The food tasted great but the service was the worst we have had in a long time. If the server had been even the least bit apologetic I would not be writing this review.

If your local, avoid it. You'll appreciate your favorite from McDonald's two times more than this place. It's a shame such a beautiful restaurant and the food is only edible. You can tell most everything is over prepped and just being warmed and re-heated.

The atmosphere is very relaxed. The building is very clean. The food prices were fair, drinks were a little pricey. The food was excellent. This is not a quick service restaurant. They give you time to enjoy drinks/appetizers before your entree. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. If you're in a hurry, this is probably not the place for you. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. We'll definitely return.

Ordered chicken and waffles. When it came out I saw the very dark color of the chicken. They over cooked (deep fried) chicken. It might have been better but they pounded the chicken so flat, the over cooking makes the chicken like shoe leather. Very difficult to cut and to chew. I can say the waffle was just fine. I would not recommend the restaurant nor the chicken and waffles.
