I used to go to their location in midtown so I thought I would give the Livonia one a shot. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai, mild, and it was ready in no time at all. Still with a hint of spice, which I love, it had a yellow colored sauce not brownish like the peanut flavored sauces have had in the past. It was light on the peanut flavor which disappointed me, but the noodles were tasty. Not over or under done. Plus they gave me about ten huge shrimp! They had a lot of carry out orders and there was limited seating so I would advise you to dine in at an off hour. Or just get carry out. All in all worth a try. I'm ready to try more dishes from the menu soon!

It is advisable to approach promotions such as "buy one, get one free" with caution when it comes to food items. The quality of the food in question resulted in unpleasant side effects, including diarrhea and acid reflux, and I will not be partaking in such offers in the future!

This place is terrible. They never get your order correct at least not ours. It's either chicken in our dish when we clearly order tofu or something entirely different from what we ordered. Tonight I ordered Kow Pad Prik with Tofu. Look at the menu Kow Pad Prik has Rice,Broccoli and Eggs. My dish had Peas, Carrots and Onions. I called back 10 mins after I left and they never answered the phone. Three times with incorrect orders and poor customer service I've learned my lesson never going.

I’ve had both good and bad experience with food at this particular branch of Sy Thai. On some days the food is great (the way it should taste) and on other days it may taste like no effort went into making it. As a loving customer, I would really appreciate some consistency.P.S. my call for order wasn’t picked up even after waiting for over 20mins. Quite disappointing!

This place pleasantly surprised me!I wasn't 100% sure what to expect with this place. I ordered the chicken pad thai mild as the tester for any new Thai place, and the flavor had a nice profile! There was some complex flavors, and it didn't taste overwhelmingly like oil. It definitely doesn't taste like your run-of-the-mill pad thai and, in my mind, has a unique presence in the Metro Detroit Thai scene. But the crispy rolls were the ones that disappointed me. Really dry and bland. I'll forever pass on these when I go back.If you're looking for a good place to get some Thai food, I feel confident pointing you Sy Thai's way. I look forward to going back there sometime soon and trying a few of the other things on their menu!

The spice in the food here is on another level. Everything taste amazing, cooked well, and I will order again.*I order medium spice and it was way to hot. I normally like spicey food.

Customer service was good and food came out fast. Although, food was extremely unauthentic and sweet. Family member threw up her entire meal and we all feel gross now. Won’t be coming back .

I've eaten here a handful of times in the past few months and the food is always delicious. I usually get the Drunken noodle with chicken and either spring rolls or crab rangoon. The food is always fresh with amazing flavor. Sometimes you get a Thai place and the chicken tastes off or rubbery, but this place is so good every time. If you're looking for some good Thai with generous portions, go here!

Kitchen crews are so flirting to female customers. The casher Florisa didn't hand a to-go food to the customer and just look at the face of customer, sitting and doing nothing, like "you go get it!" Very unpleasant experience. I felt I wasted my tip money there. Will NEVER go again.

I stopped here for a quick carry out lunch. I had the pad Thai with medium spice. It was good. The same as I've had from other Thai restaurants. I've been to the Midtown location but will return here since they are closer to my home.

Worst Thai food ever! I usually get their food while in Detroit from their Griswold location, it is usually decent. I thought I will give it a try at the Livonia location, it is bad!!!The Gang Gai is watery, no flavor besides cream and sugar with some vegetables. Although the menu says coconut milk, I didn’t taste it. It is just half and half. Drunken noodle tasted nothing other than fish sauce. The pad Thai is just one big lump with couple pieces of chicken. The Thai ice tea comes with no cream, they just gave couple pods of half and half. When asked the lady was like, not the everyone likes cream mixed in it. I have seen it asked in any other Thai restaurant.I would avoid this place!!!

Wasn't planning to have Thai food, but was in the same strip mall. Ordered a pad Thai to go. It was very good, fresh. Just wished they had some cilantro to add on top. Was just as good the next day (had leftovers). This will be my new go to for Thai. I did see a note on door where they had % off between certain hours.

Not enough rice for the sauce but pretty good flavors and extremely quick service. If you're looking for a quick, cheap bite and you're in the area, look no further.
