Very bad experience. We paid $70.00 for two meals and two California maki. Way too much money for what we got. The rolls are extremely thin. Not bad though. The Chicken teriyaki and my husband ordered Beef teriyaki. Both came with a salad and miso soup. The salad for both came on the same plate as the Chicken and Beef teriyaki. Not a fan of this. No salad dressing and the warm teriyaki sauce made the salad soggy. The meat for both meals were chewy and large pieces. No knife to cut it. The meat is served on large sprouts. That's gross. I've always been given hot veggies with these meals. You can't eat the meat with the rice because the pieces of meat are too large. Never going back. We were sat in the first dining room because we are American and I know this because a Japanese man came in and was told he would be seated with the Japanese customer's. The waitress actually said that. "Rude"

Had a really enjoyable dinner here. The sushi was great, good quality fish. Even the house salad was really good. Katsu, ramen, you can’t go wrong. The people were all very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Definitely will return.

Eating at Fumi always takes me back to my childhood years spent in Japan! If you want an authentic Japanese dining experience in Metro Detroit, this is the place to be.Parking is plenty with an easily accessible layout. Be sure to check the their opening day/hours before heading out.

What a gem of a restaurant - my family stumbled across Fumi when our go-to sushi restaurant was closed Saturday due to power loss. Not sure we'll go back, tbh: Fumi offers such a great value for money, EXCELLENT food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Next trip we'll explore the sushi. Grilled mackerel, chicken yakatori, gyoza were amazing.
I love coming here food is fantastic you definitely should try the katsu curry at least once

Wonderful ✨We were running a little late and very hungry and they were so kind to take our order. Went above and beyond our expectations!I really appreciated the little side salad and green tea with my meal, yakisoba was delicious and cooked to perfection. Very warm and friendly staff, the restaurant is bigger on the inside than it looks which is nice. I loved that I had a lot of vegetarian options to choose from as well.Come here for authentic Japanese cuisine! We are looking forward to coming back and trying new things from the menu, lots of choices!
