This place has most delicious salmon nigiri I’ve ever had in Michigan. Extra excited that they are on Grub Hub now. I can’t express how perfect and clean tasting all of their fish is compared to the other sushi places around this area. If you want quality sushi go here.

Food and service was good. Good size portions. Authentic food. My only complaint would be the size of the menu made it difficult to choose what to get.

It's not like it was in its heyday some years ago. But I can tell the new owner and his sister (waitress) are really trying very hard to deal ths restaurant successful. Keep the local government inspectors happy and please refrain from yelling at each other. The customers can hear it during their meal service and is really annoying. The food is really good, however. They just need to improve the atmosphere and appease the safety inspectors with good food safety practices.

Would not recommend my friends to go. Unfortunately it took over a hour for our order to be prepared. Very difficult to get their attention for even adding hot water. The fried rice is nothing special and came with no veggie. I could have done it at home in 5 minutes. Would not go back for their hot dishes. Sushi maybe okay but just not impressed overall.

I don't understand why people dislike this place. I've always enjoyed going here and the food is always yummy. Only downside was when I paid their machine did something and my card was locked because my bank thought it was fraud. But that happens. Easy fix.

Food was not fresh. Waitress was screaming at cook in their native tongue. Miso was way too salty and Binto Box was a disgrace to Japanese Binto boxes.

Came here many times years ago, stopped going there due to influx of other closer, sushi restaurants. Stopped in yesterday as it was close to where I was shopping, will never to it again- big mistake. As I'm typing this, I feel sick to my stomach from something I ate there, and so does one of my children. They tried to charge me for an extra roll I did not order and they increased the price of one roll, not by much, but still. Place was super dirty, I cannot even bear to think of how old the fish must have been for me to get this sick. This place needs to close down ASAP.

If I could give less I would. A friend and I went for lunch with our children. The menu pricing doesn't match what we were charged. The signage and waitress said sushi rolls were 30% off. Turns out that's not what she meant. Then she had the nerve to stand over me when I was filling out the receipt and say your bill doesn't include service tip, that's extra.(I already planned to tip but after that the tip dropped) will NEVER go back. DO NOT Recommend.

I used to live in Novi and ate there often. Returned after several years away & am massively disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tempura bento for dinner. The tempura coating was thick and heavy Ugh. Only received 2 pieces of shrimp tempura and 3 pieces of vegetable tempura - all veggies were sweet potato. What? No miso soup was served, the salad was IN the bento box!? The single piece of gyoza was sweet & heavy!? The only, and I mean only redeeming part of the meal, were the California roll pieces. I eat Japanese food often after living in Japan. This was not traditional tempura, skimpy, incomplete. I won’t be returning.

Worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never written a review for a restaurant but needed to after today. Sign outside said 30% off regular sushi rolls, the waitress sat us down gave us menus and said 30% off regular sushi rolls. We ordered our rolls, she asked if we would like miso soup, we said yes please. We eat the food (sushi is average, miso was good). Bill comes and she says "sorry it was actually 10% the computer wouldn't let me change it here you go" and the miso soup was $8 for two of them! Every place I have been gives free miso, and the way she offered it made it seem like it was free. I was also pissed she said 30% before we ordered and 30% on the sign outside and then when bill came it was all of a sudden only 10%. Ordered expecting to pat $25-$30 tops and paid $50. Misleading, bad service, and not how you do business. Never going back and hope no one makes same mistake I did of trusting the server's word.

Don't go there! Use to be the place to go! Now it is horrible. Made a reservation for 6:30 Saturday night, walked in the door and we were the only guests in the restaurant! The seaweed salad was ok. The crunchy tuna roll was extremely soft, not put together well at all. The crab roll was not a spider roll and not very good. Asked for hot oolong tea got green tea then iced oolong. Beef teriyaki average at best and still pricey for the quality. Only one other customer walked in while we were there! We will not be back. I repeat, don't go there! And everything we touched, peppers, salt etc was filthy!
