This is one of the few restaurants where my wife and I find the food , service and atmosphere all together in the same place. We love this location and the privacy that this place has. All the servers are professional and five stars today goes for Toby! Yummy!!

Vegetarian food was really good! Our server Tessa was very attentive and great with our chaotic group order. Atmosphere was very interesting- felt like a vintage home that was converted into a restaurant. We heard rumors online that it was haunted? However would definitely go back!Vegetarian options: Avocado roll, mushroom tempura roll, vegetarian roll (so good!), and tempura vegetables

Walked in at 9:45pm and was able to order sushi rolls. Kind service and the sushi didn't feel, end of the day at all!! Really enjoyed.

One of the best sushi places around. It is in a really nice location based inside an old house. The ambiance is very nice. The service was good but I think it could be better. We asked for suggestions and the response was a bit weird when the server said she doesn't know what we like. However this is still a place we will go again. The Shaggy Shaggy Boom Boom was one of the best sushi I have had.

Super cool atmosphere! The house is historical and haunted, I've heard. No spooky interactions I saw, but some scary good food! Best sushi I've had in a while!

This restaurant is very unique and inside a beautiful preserved mansion. The server was very good, especially with two small children. I got the teriyaki chicken and thought it was alright, but maybe more expensive than it's worth. It came with plain white rice and some cooked cabbage. I also got a miso soup and ginger salad that were similar to what I've gotten at other Japanese restaurants. They did prepare a chocolate mousse/ice cream dish with a candle for my birthday on my friend's request, so that was sweet.

Went for a date and had excellent Miso soup and sushi rolls, which were flavorful and presented well. The wasabi packed a punch, which is always fun. A great date atmosphere.

Fun and affordable dinner at this beautiful white mansion built in the 1920’s. We had drinks and shared 3 plates including tuna California rolls along with a shared salad for under $90. Good value - fun. Each of the many rooms (dining areas) are a bit different from one another. But, they have one thing in common - noise level is high.Tough to hear and converse due to the high ceilings and echo noise created by nearby conversation. Also, Irritating to find a “3% Charge Card Processing Fee” was tacked onto our bill with no fanfare. In the “good ole days” the proprietors cost of charge card processing was build into the consumers cost of each menu item. In my view, this is inflationary, as the menu prices were not reduced when the service fee was added. This practice is enough to stop me from returning

We've heard a lot about Shiro and it was highly recommended to us by several people. The ambiance was decent. The service was okay. We tried the pork belly which wasn't crispy and nothing like I'd expect. The lobster spring rolls came out and they were on top of mashed potatoes, which was confusing and they were very greasy. We got several rolls and I got two pieces of sashimi. The sushi was very underwhelming. The smoked salmon sashimi was the highlight of the night for me. That piece I'd get again. For us, we've had much better sushi for half the price at other places. We'd go back for the ambiance if we were invited out to dinner. However, we wouldn't go to Shiro on our own...there's better choices for sushi.

You ever find a restaurant so good that you're mad that it exists because you know you're about to give it all your money? That's Shiro Restaurant in Novi for us now... The sushi was beyond amazing. The braised pork belly was super tender and flavorful. The cucumber kimchi is my new favorite "fancy" kimchi. And the takoyaki was fresh and packed full of flavor. We can't wait to go back ?.
