We were given a gift certificate for my husband's birthday. When I told the waitress that this was our first time and his birthday, she wished him a happy birthday and took our order. She must have overheard us talking about how they had deep fried trees, my husband's favorite. At the end of our dinner, she brought over a small bowl of ice cream with a deep fried oreo. Mixed drinks (specialty ones) are never made the same and the only thing consistent is that they are not consistent and this holds true on multiple occasions and at the Waterford and Orion Twp locations. Servers are quick to make right, but the bartenders have been observed having an attitude with the server when they ask to remake it. Not a good look, just sayin.
I was in town with a team of athletes and had called ahead of time to see if they had space for 30 people. Brittany was very accommodating and had everything set up for us when we arrived. It was the perfect space to hold such a large group. The staff was super friendly and our waitress, Kenna, did phenomenal at handling such a big group with separate checks. I've been to plenty of team dinners with smaller groups and it never ran as smoothly as it did at Johnny Black's. The staff was able to keep up with drinks and the food came out pretty much all at the same time.

Wonderful service and food! I highly recommend this place! The inside is dark, which can make the dark menus a little tough to read, and I’m not sure if this place allows smoking, but it started to smell like it later in the evening.Highly recommend!!!

A very large restaurant with space for company functions (one was happening in a private room the day we went, you can see the private room from the outside of the restaurant).Last time we went was on Valentine's Day and there was plenty of service and everyone was on top of their game.Currently on Wednesdays, they have all you can eat fried fish. Your initial plate comes with beans and mashed potatoes, but after that you get as much fish as you want, a couple of pieces at a time. It does take time to cook up fresh so plan your next order ahead of time.Tacos were pretty good, my wife was happy she got the fried fish instead of grilled fish since the tortillas are crisped up a bit to hold their contents.Beer selection could be better, could be worse. There are usually some Bell's on tap and m-43, but if you are a craft beer enthusiast you will have to temper your expectations.

We were just there for our great granddaughter's birthday party and it was great ❗❗ we had the back room with the games and the waitresses came in and served all the drinks and we had a buffet of salad and pizza which was fantastic ❗❗❗
