First time here and the food was very good. Unfortunately, cannot say that about the service. Our server never came back to the table once the order was given unless we called her, if we could find her. Brought the appetizer with our meal, she messed up the bill but we took care of it amongst ourselves. Slow to clean the table too. The hostess wasn't much better. Will probably try other restaurants in the area first before returning here.

Wait staff was not friendly, from host to server. They weren't rude at all, just kind of snippy. Food was meh for price point. Given the combination of those things, and the plethora of choices in downtown Plymouth, I would go elsewhere.

We did the pull-up to the sardine room on Plymouth for my wife's birthday ? We have never eaten in Plymouth before, but I have heard that the restaurants were pretty good on mainstream. Well, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. I was extremely disappointed with choosing to eat here for my wife's birthday. The first thing we noticed was that they didn't have any of the things listed on their menu that they had on the website. So when I asked the waiter what was up with the menu, he said we'll it's Sunday and we do a limited menu. It was literally only 7 entrees listed. So when asked the waiter why it isn't it listed on your website or Instagram, that you are limited on Sunday. He basically said, idk. He then said, " they probably should do that. The damn menu didn't even have a salad to choose. Well, anyone, we odered some apps and fish and chips for entree. My wife doesn't really like fish and chips, but that was the only thing that looked decent from the choices. The fish and chips were just ok. I probably wouldn't oder it again. Would I repeat the Sardine room again? Absolutely not. But if you're interested, go check it out yourself. (Except on Sunday evening. )

I have been to Sardine Room many times before and had good experiences. Tonight was a disappointment. Our party was asked to order any food and drinks for “last call” almost and an hour and a half before the posted closing time. When we tried to clarify the closing time to ensure we weren’t being rude, we couldn’t seem to get a straight answer and were told that the closing time of the restaurant was “crowd based”. There were still well over 50 people in the restaurant at that time. We were sure to pay our bill prior to the posted closing time of 11, and at quarter to eleven as we were wrapping up our conversation, we were approached by an employee who told us that it was “about that time”. So rude and unprofessional. Overall such a letdown for a previously well-liked spot. Will definitely influence future decisions on whether to return.

We went to the Sardine Room tonight for drinks and appetizers- before going in we checked their closing time online which was listed as 11pm, it was 9pm so we assumed we had time to get a table. At 9:40 we were told it was last call (the restaurant was still full) we asked about closing time and the server told us that they typically “close when they are empty”. We had a couple drinks and appetizers and then at 10:40 after paying and starting to wrap up a man came over, knocked on the table, and told us that it was “about that time”. The entire experience was bizarre and unprofessional. No plans to revisit.

I was at Sardine Room yesterday, April 6. Witnessed a large party being absolutely miserable to the staff. Came onto Google because that group just SEEMED like the type to be awful and then also leave a bad review. And sure enough, I found a review from ~Sue~. i recognize her from that group. Take every stereotype you can think of for *that generation* being difficult with service workers, and that was her party. My friend and I watched it unfold (though frankly so did everyone else). Her group made the entire place feel tense and I’m sure other tables were equally appalled by their whiny behavior and smug attitudes. We all had the misfortune of watching multiple staff members look frazzled trying to tend to these entitled diners. It was incredibly uncomfortable and generally infuriating.Rest assured, the place is great and the staff is always good every time I go.

We were having a birthday celebration and it was one thing after another at this restaurant.Food was good. AWFUL service.Took about 15 minutes for initial drink or acknowledgement. Had to ask the server to take our dinner orders.Kitchen got our orders wrong. 6 of 7 orders came out. 7th order came out after everyone had already eaten and the steak was underdone.Lost our credit card.Manager was kind and tried to make things right, but overall it was a frustrating experience.

One of my favorite places, I've been here like 20 times. Love the happy hour and respect that they still have one! The shrimp skewers I got were good, but I was still hungry after my meal and 3 oysters. Service was good!

Another so so happy hour now, once a definite go to has turned into a has been, always started my visit with multiple oyster shooters but to our surprise when the bill came they no longer are a hh item $8 a shot Ridiculous! I can handle the price increase for the oyster platter but you have to be attentive to what your customers are loyal to needless to say food quality has also dropped and so I drop the mic on this hh now too what a shame

I love this place, always a nice experience UNTIL we move from our table to the bar. David was an angel we should’ve never left his table. The bartenders were incredibly rude and ignoring us. I also got the “wait one minute finger” twice. The bar was only 1/4 full. They could’ve asked if we wanted another drink or even entrees. It was like they hated us for sitting down.Idk it hurt my feelings to be honest, considering we love it here. I don’t expect much but to feel welcomed and treated like a friend. I’m sorry to your bartenders for annoying them with our presence.

This place is average at best. My old fashion was weak and the 2 lobster rolls that the table ordered was pathetic. It was all bread, I felt bad for them. My shrimp and grits was pretty good and the $1.25 happy-hour oysters were good which is why I gave them 2 stars. Our server was rude, and didn't even acknowledge the fact it was my daughter's 18th bday dinner. I'll never go back!

We had such a lovely Sunday brunch - they don't take reservations for the 11am-1pm rush, but we were able to get a 10:45am reservation which was just perfect! Parking was easy right outside. When you walk in, you immediately see the fresh seafood on ice and everything looked beautiful. I can't wait to come back for dinner and oysters - they had such a nice selection. We were greeted warmly and seated by the host, and our server was great even though it was packed. The classic bloody Mary was perfect with a fresh, cold shrimp on the side, and my Mom's mimosa was perfectly balanced - not too much OJ, not too sweet. The food was really fantastic - just cooked and seasoned so well. My Mom had the breakfast fries which was so good with a very yummy sauce, bacon crumbles and an egg. I had the crab cakes benedict, which I highly recommend. The eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise was creamy and savory, and the crab cakes were mostly fresh lump crab just barely held together. Delicious. It comes with breakfast potatoes, which were good but not great - but I ordered a side of their fries, and I'm so glad i did. They're very thin and crispy and dusted with this amazing spice blend that has just the slightest bit of curry powder in it, I think, and it went so nice with the seafood and gave them a unique yummy flavor that made me want to keep eating them. Delicious.I can't wait to come back again.
