I was at the Alley Cat Cafe recently while checking out the other breweries in the area and was not terribly impressed by the service. We were served our drinks and that was the last time we saw the waiter until we opted to leave about 30 minutes later. With that in mind, I cant review the food. The atmosphere is very nice and the menu had some excellent sounding dishes. While there was a show later that evening we were in several hours before the rush and they just seemed very underprepared and understaffed even at that point.Also, we were expecting some kind of selection of coffee type drinks with the name being Alley Cat Cafe, but alas they only serve regular ol' coffee.Parking: Be really careful with the parking. We recieved a ticket despite still having 2.5 hours on the meter.

Went an hour+ before a show at the Strand. Just me, sat at the bar. 5 mins before any acknowledgement, 15 mins for a drink and 45+ mins for tacos that I never got b/c I wanted to make the show. I understand a surplus because of a concert but 45 mins for 2 tacos is way too long.

Stopped by for a quick dinner on a Tuesday night. The place wasn't busy, so the staff was able to give me plenty of attention. These are down-to-earth folks; easy to talk to and very friendly. The food was fantastic! I had the sliders and fries, and not only did the food taste good, but it was presented in a subtly unique way. I highly recommend The Alley Cat!

Wonderful food! Great service. We were introduced to the chef , Michelle. You can tell she loves what she does. We are very close to home here, so we will definitely be back. I had the salmon croquettes and my husband had the chicken club sandwich.

The food was amazing, the bar tender was very nice and up beat, and they support local musicians. There is also a cafe in the basement that we need to try.

Such a cool place. The bar tender was the best, super friendly and fun. The crab cakes were the best I’ve had in Michigan! The cocktails were strong but yummy! The bar tender gave us a tour of the place and was telling us how the basement is haunted. This place is connected to a coffee shop that’s open during the day which is also good and worth trying. You can have a small event here too.
Food was great. We ordered the papas bravas, short rib tacos, alley cat salad, and drinks. All were excellent and we finished every bite. Bartender was friendly. Will have to try the lamb chops next time.

Absolutely love The Alley Cat!!! Food is chef prepared and elevated! Very delicious. The owner is warm, welcoming, and gracious as was the staff. We love going on Wednesdays as there is a dj and the music is THUMPING! Old school R & B. Please come out you will have a wonderful experience!!!

Came here on a Thursday night. A couple people at the bar and no one dining in.Waiter gave us waters and menus and that was it. He took a phone call. Talked to a friend meeting him in the place and then got up to go in the back. Ironically drove somewhere of similar or cheaper pricing 8 mins away and got some of the best service I've ever had

This place is a gem! Great atmosphere and service. Drinks were fantastic! Margaritas were on special and they were hand made and some of the best I've had. Food was delicious! We had dinner there then went to a soccer game. We liked it so much we came back after the game.
