“I found my new favorite spot! I went there for the 1st time today. My friend and I ordered lunch. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I’m middle eastern and I know good food. This food is it! Everything I tried is on point. Chicken shawarma, falafel and lentil soup. I ordered some grape leaves and tabouli, but I haven’t tried it yet. The workers are super friendly. “Decided to try out Zara, have been wanting to for awhile. My wife, son, & I decided to try the Chicken Shawarma Bowl combo. Chicken, yellow rice (they don't have white rice), & multiple toppings & sauces to choose from, with different sides & drinks (with combo). The chicken & rice were a tad dry, & the garlic sauce was a little tangy for my taste. Otherwise, the taste was fine, & it was a decent size portion for price. The staff was really nice & friendly. We will probably try them again in the future.“

“Just tried your new Ft Wayne location yesterday. Having lived in Saudi Arabia for years, your food is as close to legit as I have found since moving back to the USA!! The chicken Schwarma and tabouli were soooo good!! The falafel was the best I have ever had!!! The pita bread was excellent that the Schwarma was made with!!! We will def make the 1.5 hour drive to go back and do it frequently!!!“

“The food is great and the portions are perfect but there's a seriously bad attitude on one of the employees working the counter. Like remarkably sullen, resentful, impolite, and just terrible overall customer service personality. Everyone has bad days so I let it go but if I encounter this person again and get the same treatment I'll let a manager know. The food is too good to have this person out front. Management: talk to your employees.“

“Found Ahlan through Google Maps recommendations and how high the reviews were made us need to try them. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The lentil soup was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. The Jido Burger was prepared exactly as requested and was juicy and full of flavor. The chicken tikka was well seasoned and the garlic sauce- chefs kiss!! The most perfectly cooked French fries I have ever eaten! Can't recommend this place highly enough- will definitely be back soon!!“

“The main and most important point is that that food was excellent. The restaurant had a great turnover with lots of customers coming in and out. My wife and I ate onsite. There were enough chairs inside by the window to eat at the counter on a cold snow day. The service was very friendly. We were brought a spicy sauce extra that we had not asked for out of a genuine act of hospitality which was much appreciated, very delicious and added to our experience. The grape leaves came warm, served with house pickles on lettuce. The restaurant felt authentic, like a family run joint. The food was definitely homemade and fresh, in all the best ways. The falafel sandwiches were perfect, the hummus was super delicious and ideal consistency and temperature, and having fresh made to order juices on the menu was a big plus too. “This is similar to a chipotle concept of ordering a pre-determined bowl or creating your own bowl. I really appreciated that when you first come in, there is a wall with the pictures of the different items you can pick for your bowl because I wasn't familiar with some of the items. I did a custom bowl half/half with the zartar steak and lamb. I asked for the kale salad and the blaze hummus. This bowl was magnificent. The flavors were great and it was good quantity of food. Everything tasted fresh and light. The hummus was perfect and the blaze sauce gave it the spice I needed. If I knew the blaze sauce would be that delicious, I'd of asked for more of it in my food. The bowls came with fresh warm bread (I saw them make it while I was waiting). I was obsessed with this bread. It was fluffy and warm and fantastic. It was a really nice size to come with the bowl. There were tables to sot down at if you wanted to dine in. I would 10/10 recommend this place.“

I'm not really a fan of Mediterranean food but slide me a big, crisp salad with a nice vinaigrette and I'm in heaven. I saw a post for this place and someone included a picture of their Fattoosh Tawook Salad and I immediately knew what I'd be having for lunch today. The salad comes in its own styrofoam, separate from the chicken. Let me tell you now, this chicken is some of the tenderest, juiciest, tastiest that I've ever had. The dressing is bursting with flavor and just compliments it all so well. They also included 3 warmed mini pita's. This is definitely enough for 2 or for multiple meals. Don't second guess; just place that order.“

They had a large work group luncheon underway and another one lined up after that one. Service was good regardless. I had the crushed lentil soup and a fattoush salad. Food was very good.
