I only had a carry-out breakfast but the staff was friendly and the food was good! It wasn't as cheap as a breakfast special at a major chain like Ram's Horn, but the food was worth it. This is one of only two places I've eaten at that makes their own corned beef hash instead of heating up canned stuff. -edit- I've continued to eat breakfast there with my family almost every thursday and we thoroughly enjoy the food, staff, and prices.
My wife and I visit a different restaurant every Sunday morning. Today's visit was at the Golden Grill on 5 mile in Redford Township. They are the definition of Mom & Pop. She serves, he cooks. They know their regulars. A man sits down in a booth, she brings his coffee saying "Steve just started your omelet." Good home cooking. The food was served quickly & very tasty. Staff is soooo nice. Food is great, especially when you consider the price. Not the greatest decor but if you're worried about that you probably wouldn't have made it pass the parking lot. This is a classic diner feel and home cooking. I LOVE these types of places and this one didnt disappoint.I still give it a great review but I wish you could write out what you want the tip to be.
